When they go, it'll be spun that they wanted to. Which yes is true, but who wouldn't want to go when offered the kind of contracts they'll be offered, plus the opportunity. But Greaves isn't actively pushing for a move or saying he wants to leave

He did say ( from what I remember ) that he'd sell if players wanted to go. Which is why it'll be spun that way and as I say, technically it'll be true, but it's not the full and correct picture....for Greaves anyway

Not true. Rosenior wasn't sacked because of his team selection. He was sacked because his football was too often boring (others are entitled to a differing opinion of course). I think it's fair to say that Acun made that much pretty clear.

Acun was not insistent on Pandur playing!! Rosenior was given free reign to pick the team!
Also, Acun mentioned a few players, including Sinik, that he was surprised / disappointed hadn't played more games (or in some cases more minutes).

I agree that he needs to re-think what he says. It's great that he's so willing to engage with fans etc, but there are better (more tactful, clever) ways to say stuff whilst still getting the point across. However, I don't think for one minute he is "just saying things ...thinking that's what the fans want to hear"!! In fact, in regard to some of what he was saying that night it was not what some fans wanted to hear at the time (although it seems like a lot have reflected since and either thought he was right or at least acknowledged that his points were fair / valid). I also don't think for one minute it's just about his thoughts & voice, meaning I think it's guided by his 'brains trust'.

Respectfully, it’s evident that what Acun says and what he does aren’t aligning.
The first thing he said was about Allsop at that Q&A. That indicates that it was high priority on his mind so to say it was just style of play isn’t the case.
I would be in his position, probably £30-40k a week on a 4 year deal he should be able to get, it's an awful lot of money.
It was like when KLP went to Brentford, I'd have signed for them on a 6 year deal too. You don't turn down that amount of money.

He explained he didn't want to sell KLP and tried to convince him to stay. He told the story very clearly and I've heard it elsewhere too.
I believe him when he talks about Greaves & Philogene too. They may well end up going. I'm sure their agents will be putting thoughts in their heads etc and their heads may well at some point soon get turned. The money would come in handy, but, I guess like a lot of us, he'd rather have them as prize assets in his team for next season then spend the £14m (plus more minor sales) and clever loan signings to build a team around them and Omur & Tufan.

believe it was klp agent who eventually forced the move,acun as done great since taking over the club, met him a few times seems genuine enough
100% agree.
Not bed-wetting (yet) but it's pretty alarming how we've got into this situation with such a depleted squad (numbers and quality remaining).
It would be the same had Rosenior stayed too.
It's a massive ask to get a squad together ready to seriously challenge at the right end of the table during the first half of the season. We're likely to be playing catch up which is not good. Or is Acun resigned to a(nother) rebuild this coming season, with a serious challenge next season. It's such a big ask given we're likely to need 10-12 players minimum, of which at least half need to be starters of real quality, not just squad players.
Whatever you think about Acun you can’t deny he is already a master in the transfer market. He managed to bring the likes of Omur, Carvalho, Seri here and somehow managed the find a club to pay Allsop’s wages for us (even if we did have to pay them a fee)

Nuance is needed. Don't think he's a liar. Think he's a very experienced media man that can get his side of the story out. There's probably elements in truth but its undeniable when it comes to the sacking of Rosenior and the rapid sale of Allsop that it was a massive sticking point and a major reason for the sacking. For what its worth I dont think sacking a manager because of his team selection is inherently a bad thing
Regarding the sales we had it that we would be ok with FFP and now articles from the semi-spokesperson Baz that we are up against it financially in terms of FFP. This is further proved by rumblings of sales needed and Tan joining the EFL board to advocate for more lenient rules.
I love Acun and everything he's done in turning the tide. But sometimes its worth reading between the Tea leaves of what he's saying and not taking everything he says as gospel.
