We'd have probably received more if our owner hadn't publicly criticised him! <laugh>

He probably wasn't the best keeper we've ever had, nor was he as bad as people made him out to be. Don't really feel much about his departure.

Don’t feel he warranted a lot of the criticism some levelled at him. He leaves with my best wishes for the future.

Ipswich are set to rival Everton for Greaves, apparently!
The more interested clubs the better I suppose, start a bidding war and bump the price up.
Think he will be gone this summer with the funds going into new signings.

Really can't see Jarvis playing for us again. He will stay at shelbourne for the European games then may move to a league 1 side? Just won't get an opportunity here.
I’d be very disappointed if so. He’s got the talent to play at any level. Would hope we at least let Walter have a look. He’s the best young talent on the books at the minute. Goals, pace direct. Would be silly to not give him every opportunity to succeed.

Really think this Allsop situation is such a clusterfuck. We've brought in a manager who famously wants a ball-playing goalkeeper. We need loads of players in other positions but one thing we did have was a ball-playing goalkeeper, and we've more or less forced him out because the owner isn't keen on him. So now we need another ball-playing goalkeeper in addition to the 10 or so players we already needed.

It's done now so we move on, but I think it's a right mess.

I'm sure we won't get it, but it would be interesting to hear Barry Richardson's thoughts on the Allsop situation. Was he telling Liam Pandur not up to it, or was this purely Liam saying I brought him in so he is playing?

I did find it strange when Pandur was relegated from the subs bench, had he expressed his unhappiness at not being number one to Liam or was this Barry Richardson's recommendation Ingram was ahead of him?

I have mixed feelings about him leaving, Yes, Acun was wrong to call him out as he did, but he did make 2 or 3 costly errors, yes, good with his feet, but as the Cardiff fans had said when we bought him, they pointed out this flaw in his ability.

I can see Acun point that Padur had played well in the Dutch premier league, so one would think he should be good enough for the Championship.

Furthermore, I wish Ryan all the best, we do have a surplus of keepers at present, and with Timothee and Cartwright doing well at their loan clubs, they could well be vying for a place on the bench.

P.S. Rotherham seems to have an interest in Ingram.

This Ipswich interest in Greaves, I can't see that would be a good move for him, as there is a good chance they will be back in the championship after one season, so it is like a sideways move. I think he will end up at a more established EPL side, Everton or West Ham or the like.
Absolutely.
Everton potentially receiving £80 odd mill for Branthwaite would hopefully inflate Greaves value as a replacement.
I was hoping a top 5 club would come in for Guehi too, which would create a tug of war for Greaves, with both clubs needing a replacement and having a lot of spare cash.
Talking Palace, I read one of the big 5 wanting Olive. I haven’t seen a lot of him, but would Philogene be a possible replacement for him?

Yes, if it was Liam trying to assert his authority over Acun, then there was only going to be one ending. It’s the only thing that makes sense over his sacking, after Acun insisting previously LR was part of a medium term plan.

Yes he was good with his feet, but he was a poor quality GK overall. We shouldn't have to settle for a poor overall GK just because he can pass. The fact we've given him away and the only club who wanted him was a L1 club says a lot as well. The way acun chucked him under the bus was poor and the lad didn't deserve that. But the fact remains, he's not a GK you can support a promotion push on and it's the correct move for all.

I would imagine PLT was suggesting that he would be a decent no 2, if Pandur is considered good enough. Now, we definitely need at least one more keeper as Ingram isn’t what we need for Walter’s style of play.

Not sure he's even a decent #2. His GK qualities are just to poor over all. I'd rather have TLT. With everything that's gone on, him leaving was the best outcome for all
