Could be a cultural enrichment signing? It would seem an odd one, but he must have something about him, apparently Burnley, Boro and Derby are after him as well.

Modern footy baffles me. The day a goalies feet are more important than his hands is the day the lunatics have taken over the asylum.
Ok.
Mid twenties. Non league player.
Two months in the Scottish league. Scores 5 goals.
Gotta admire our new found ambition.
Was that Allsopp in goal, should have saved itHe can definitely come if he can score goals like this every week...

It’s a funny one because he’s supposedly very well rounded and quick so off the bench who knows? 500k is nothing tooAgreed. Would be a terrible signing.

Given our budget constraints I’m not sure we can. 500k for someone who’s very highly rated, quick and good in general play might be a snip. One of the complaints about last season was the lack of quality on the bench despite having a strong XI. We could and absolutely should be doing better than this guy.

Hoenstly, this whole situation regarding option vs obligation to buy is as clear as mud. If Giles prefers Boro, could he not just refuse to sign a contract with us even if we have an obligation to buy? What happens to the £4.25 million we’re supposed to pay to Luton if he doesn’t want to sign for us?
This is something Baz has covered recently. He mentioned that it is definitely an obligation, but Giles choosing not to come here is one theoretical reason why it might not happen even despite the obligation on us.
So what happens if Giles chooses not to come here? Do we still have to give £4.25 million to Luton?
The reason I ask is because Leeds were sued and forced to pay millions for a player they didn’t sign because they had him on loan with an obligation to buy if promoted but Leeds argued the deal expired due to COVID delaying the regular season. They still had to pay eventually despite never signing the player.
