I remember a 17 year old Roger DeVries having him (and Willie Morgan) in his pocket.I saw George Best play in his early years, and he was light years ahead. He is still the best player I have seen in the flesh, and was a joy to watch.

Didn’t we get Pandur cheap because Acun wrote off a debt the club owed him?Apparently Fortuna Sittard have transfer listed Rodrigo Guth, Alen Halilović and Loreintz Rosier. I would take Guth and Rosier in a heartbeat. I’ve already mentioned Rosier on here.
If true, it’s interesting they’ve transfer listed those three in particular as they’re three of their better players imo. That and the fact we got Pandur so cheap considering his potential makes me wonder if they have money issues and need cash desperately.
I remember that car dealership, a blast from the pastRoger had a brother Pete I think they were twins, and when I was at Wolfreton, they both played for the school team, and I thought Pete was the better player of the two, but City picked up Roger and the rest is history. John who was in my year, the older brother had the car dealership down Calvert Lane.

£4mill for a fullback who wasn’t even in the last season’s starting eleven? Nuts.Honestly, I wasn’t impressed by him in his time here and definitely not for £4.25 million or whatever the buy-option fee was. Walter may have vetoed it. To be honest, he didn’t suit Rosenior’s football and I don’t think he’d suit Walter’s either. He’s an overlapping full-back who plays almost as a left-winger and defensively he’s not very good. Walter seems to want a full-back on either side that is a bit more dynamic with all the crazy rotations he has his back-four doing with centre-backs stepping into midfield and full-backs either playing as centre-halves in some phases or inverting into midfield themselves.

Hope Giles comes regarded as one of the best attacking fullbacks in the league which Walter wants. Clearly a top operator and madness he wasn’t utilised properly.
Id rather live on Spring Bankland
Not sure, you could be right.Didn't Peter wear glasses and was as blind as a bat without them?
(Contact lenses not as developed as now?)

Beverley is to Hull, as Beverly Hills is to LA.You had me until that last word… ****ing bev !!
I think I got a free ticket off him for my first City gameHe'd taken up the position of PE Teacher by the time I was at Wolfreton, but I think you may be right about his eyesight.....although I think he wore contact lenses (he was too vain to wear glasses).
I remember him doing coaching at Wolfreton. Not sure about him teaching though. I do remember the PE teacher getting sacked (allegedly) for shagging (allegedly) the girls PE teacher.
