To be honest, he didn’t suit Rosenior’s football and I don’t think he’d suit Walter’s either. He’s an overlapping full-back who plays almost as a left-winger and defensively he’s not very good. Walter seems to want a full-back on either side that is a bit more dynamic with all the crazy rotations he has his back-four doing with centre-backs stepping into midfield and full-backs either playing as centre-halves in some phases or inverting into midfield themselves.

If it's an obligation, he's our player as everything will have been done in Jan like wages etc. Leeds tried to back out of an obligation to buy for Augustin and hilariously, it cost them a fortune.

I swear Tan did an interview after January and said it was an option, not an obligation. I think he'll go elsewhere, Boro only want him on a loan deal too, I'm just not sure Giles would want to come back

You'd think if there was an obligation the details would already be set out and there wouldn't be much "work" needed to complete any deal.

He's unlikely to want to stay at Luton after they've already tried to offload him, but he could chose to go to Boro if he thinks they're a better option.
