I do wonder who the recruitment team have considered as potential transfer targets to replace Greaves in the extremely-likely scenario Greaves goes this summer. Think I’ll be gutted to see Greaves go more than any other City. More than Bowen and KLP, even; it’s unavoidable though I think.

Some names mentioned on here are interesting but some are more realistic than others:

Eíran Cashin - left-footed, strong defensively but not as technical on the ball as Greaves and he recently signed a new contract at Derby until 2027 and they’re now in the same division

Ronnie Edwards - very good defensively and on the ball; a modern ball-playing centre-half who is still young and has a high ceiling but Peterborough could demand £8 million at least and Prem clubs are interested

Charlie Hughes - had a very good season at Wigan; like Edwards he’s a young, modern ball-playing centre-half but probably way more affordable than Edwards; hard to say if he could slot right into the starting XI of a Championship club with top 6 aspirations though

Jake Clarke-Salter - not as young as the others mentioned but has had a good season at QPR and has lots of experience and games at this level; been one of their best players since Cifuentes came in and comfortable playing out from the back; might cost a bit though as Prem clubs and Celtic supposedly interested

A left-field suggestion by me would be Anselmo MacNulty at PEC Zwolle in the Dutch league. Irish u21 who is a a very technical left-footed centre-half by trade but has played most of this season at left-back due to an injury crisis. He’s probably the most like-for-like replacement for Greaves available in terms of the way they both play. Would probably only cost €3 million as well.

Most of my posts on here are going to be me trying to influence Acun to sign players I like since he reads this board and apparently makes important club decisions based on the consensus of social media.

I just liked your smart Alec response being corrected when I'd just asked a simple question. Not everything has to be combative.
It wasn't 'smart Alec', it's called humour. It wasn't a correction, in the UK it is called Munich. Other than that, all good :emoticon-0148-yes:.
There's really no need to 'like' every post that is a response to me though.

I don’t care who we sign, why? Because no matter who is suggested, it’ll be a case of the club signing who they want. As long as it’s not Acun doing his flying here, there & everywhere **** like that first window, & the **** fest that followed about how people couldn’t believe we were signing this player, that player.
Now we’re just about getting over that disaster, so we don’t need another one.

Fans of other teams don't see us week in week out though do they, it's easy to say "id take LR" after they see us turn them over ( or in Leeds case out play then but still lose ) But do you honestly believe any of them would say the same after a full seasons worth of homes games the same as we've had to endure

nope it’s complete sentimental ****e, literally given some top top talent, didn’t get the best out of most refused to play some and took us backwards.

Why employ a manager if all you need is top top talent

Nonsensical post, employ a manager who can actually utilise the top talent instead of letting self entitled arrogance take priority by sticking to the same drab system that produced some of the worst home performances in recent memory.
