in fact you’ve actually proven my point with this post, top talent wasn’t enough for Rosie, we had the talent and got worse… employing the right manager is key.

I’ll never get this argument. We didn’t get worse. We stayed about the same. We earned 1.5 points per game from season start to Jan 31st then from Feb 1st to season end we were on 1.55 points per game.

In reality what ****ed us was the period in December to Jan when were on our arse with injuries. Which happens sometimes.

Others around us improved and we didn’t catch up. Not to mention the supposed “top talent” only one produced regularly with goals and assists. I like Omur but he has yet to get himself on the scoresheet.

so to vastly improve the squad and remain the same to me is in fact going backwards.

The only people who believe that are delusional sentimental Rosie fans, it’s almost complete common knowledge amongst the wider footballing community that we had an excellent January and to bottle it was embarassing.

Maybe in spreadsheet manager
Also squad?

Who could we bring on subs wise?
Our bench was terrible

We got good players in but did we improve the squad? That’s debatable.

Fabio - brilliant player who we say the best of

Giles - looked good at the start, got injured then suddenly didn’t look the same

Zaroury - Flashed at points but lacked consistency, then got injured

Omur - cracking player. Didn’t get a goal or assist but contributed in other areas

Pandur, Ohio and Sharp for varying reasons didn’t bring much to the table. Appreciate the former 2 may be down to bad management but who knows.

it’s a load of nice names that didn’t gel in time. That’s not necessarily on Rosenior. If these transfers had been done in the summer I think the argument of not improving could be made

Maybe you’re right maybe not, I personally think he knew the score and the Allsop debacle was unforgivable, that alone probably cost us. Hands made out of ****ing poppadoms.

Your right, Liam in protest (probably) was leaving ohio completely out. Or one of the best attacking full backs in the Championship last season on the bench when we needed to go for it last game of the season.

I don’t disagree about Allsop. I respect him for sticking by his guns as that’s his sword to fall on however. Ultimately I feel like we had just clicked in the last couple of games but it was too late

Debacle? How so? What goals were so badly down to him that cost us points? Philogene made three defensive errors at corners that definitely cost us points. Should he have been dropped?

Now who's making up 'bollox' to make a false narrative?

He was a major factor in missing the play offs and was statistically rated as one of the worst keepers in the division for shot stopping what the **** are you even talking about you muppet

We drew too many games we should have won and lost too many games we should have drawn, Allsop was not the prime reason for that.

Not the sole reason but a major contributing factor, just simply doesn’t save enough shots, I’m convinced if we’d have signed Darlow we’d have been having a different conversation but alas we didn’t and got stuck with one of Rosie’s lost boys who he insisted to play despite bringing in a young expensive keeper from Europe who statistically is ahead of Allsop in every single metric bar anticipation which is only one point less. (This is data backed from the last two seasons on sofascore of which I am aware that Pandur played elsewhere and it could be an argument that lacks some merit based on that but does back up the eye test that Allsop failed disastrously)
