Yeah the goals were what I was alluding to with for the most part. And agree that is a good comparison, although Jaden played and looked the same before the injury, he was just on fire and everything he tried seemed to come off. I think it’s just the way that style of player looks to be honest and part of what makes them unpredictable. The relaxed and cool as a cucumber body language gives nothing away to their next move and a big part of fooling defenders into committing the wrong way but it also looks a bit lazy and disinterested. The difference between them obviously was Ebiowei was absolutely ****e for us and barely anything ever came off for him so it just made him look ****e and he wasn’t really arsed.
I was trying not compare Philogene and Hutchinson on Saturday...

philo was trying v ipswich
he basically got taken out the game by tuanzebe and he'd usually have another player on him too
never got space

That was the difference we didnt two up on their guy but oppos two up on Jaden almost every week . This why I suggested he needs a man inside all the time .

Jaden doesn’t look like he’s enjoying his football as much at the moment.

Pre injury he was playing with a smile on his face and looked very care free.

Wonder if the combo of the knock and teams knowing his threat level now so trying to defend better against him.

Needs to find his mojo again. Suspect the summer will be good for him.

I think its clear that for some time now the opposition make a point of closing down Jaden, often they have 2/3 players making it hard for him. He's still finding ways to score and if we eventually have a RW that does more to stretch opponents he will get even more success.

But when he does get the ball in space he very often slows right down until he is closed down and doubled up on.

He is always like that. He’s not the explosive player that just picks up the ball and runs, he dances around and skins people down n close quarters from standing. That’s just what he’s good at. I often find it frustrating that he doesn’t just go for the run but I think he’s not actually all that fast at running with the ball so this probably works out better anyway.

We mustn't forget that Philo is still a young lad, this i believe is his first full playing season, Bowen was the same towards the end of his first full playing season, ran out of legs towards the end. He has done remarkably well, considering the injury he had. Delap is similar, they are still young and inexperienced. I said some time ago, it wouldn't surprise me to see him (Delap)back here next season, potentially permanent, Morton is another, that I wouldn't be surprised seeing him don the black and Amber again next season.
Out of them all I'm afraid Greaves will be the one that departs for big money, and he will be difficult to replace.
