No because some still look for why we shouldn’t have won , or how lucky we were etc it’s a shame the human condition seems to want to dwell and enjoy the negative but limits the positive maybe because we are self effacing Brits and not Yanks - just wondering

Brits generally, yeah. But city fans seem worse for it than many others. Probably the trauma of supporting city historically, we're just not that used to it when things go well.

I saw the Stoke game on TV & I was at the Cardiff game last weekend, I had a rant after the game about how we were spending too much time fannying about at the back, & against better teams we’d concede more goals. Then someone posted something, can’t remember who or what, but it was something about the reason for fannying about was to stretch the opposition as otherwise the teams that aren’t so good, would just sit back & defend deep.
Then it hit me, the better teams will come at us, meaning, HOPEFULLY, they won’t be forcing us to fanny about on the edge of the six yard box, & space would be available already.
I suppose tomorrow will be the first chance to see if this will be true, the alternative scenario will be, Norwich will be so good, they can attack & defend at will, giving us no chance.

Issue is, like Sheff Utd, the better teams will only come at us until they score a goal or two, then they'll sit back and let us pass around aimlessly because they've got the game won. The big ask will be continuing to get on the front foot and scoring first as we did against QPR, in order to force teams to continue to come at us.

You say that but we have on a few occasions come from behind to win or draw when the other team should have been sitting back and holding onto their lead.

He spends much of his time attempting to justify his position and telling fans that they're wrong for suggesting otherwise. Burnsey did put him in his place nicely then other day though.
You can see the way he plays 'ITK' on twitter what a dick he is. That is coming to an end for him and he doesnt like it. The club clearly dont like him and he is getting shirty.
You also have to remember he works for Reach, it is the journalism equivilent of a footballer playing for Bishop Stortford FC.

Sheffield United werent better than us by any stretch... we gifted them 2 goals, with from OUR corners... they were on the ropes for long periods...

I said this at the time. A mistake and then Millar behaving like a big girl instead of sticking his body on the line. Goals but very soft goals. Take them away and we were the better team for large periods but people at that time, certainly around me, could not focus on that because they were too busy shouting at players to 'stop fannying around with it' or 'switch' when a player is facing the touchline!! They were obvlious to what was being attempted by City. They can see it now it has worked a treat at QPR but of course they are all just sat quietly waiting for us to have a bad day so they can get back on their soapbox.

I didnt see Plymouth away but apart from that game I've seen gradual improvement all over the field, something you would want to see when you've signed about 17 players that needed time to gel and learn a new system.

It's fookin scary when things go well, never mind just not used to it. My oft repeate mantra "Only City can do this"

Hope Jarvis gets a chance again I think he’s hit some real skill and brains , just needs to be more aware on the ball but I like him I hope he stays and at least gets the bench - If there’s room!

I could understand people getting in a huff if the ‘told you so’ posts were about us being **** and losing.

But they’re not. The posts are about us winning and improving which makes it all the more sweeter rubbing it in.

Maybe next time don’t wet the bed after 5 games. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

It seems like much of this stems from Rosenior’s sacking – as if some fans are blaming Walter personally for it. This has led to a lack of objectivity from certain parts of the fanbase. If this level of expectation had been placed on every new manager we’ve had, that would be somewhat more understandable, but I don't recall it.

The criticism of Walter has also included things like:

Friendlies
What he wears
His behaviour on the touchline

I thought Rosenior was unfairly treated by parts of our fanbase, and said so on this forum many times, but the treatment of Walter has been undignified, unfair, and unlike anything else I can remember (especially for someone who has been in the role three months).

Who in the squad would he replace ATM?
That's the problem, Springtiger is right I hope we see him as I think he is a talent, like Longman, but neither of those are getting in until about 8 players are crocked such is the strength in depth.

Hopefully he will get a good loan in January and we see him come back first team ready.

If you'd have told our fans a few years ago we would have a manager that rocks up in a Kappa Trackie Top and baseball cap they would have had a meltdown. I think Big Tim is making it work. Not sure Shota could have pulled it off.

I had 4 x spare hospitality places at QPR, I thought about offering them on here and then realised I might end up regretting that when people actually turn up so I opted to stick with two of us and enjoy six steak pies to ourselves at half time!

What is it they say, 'never meet your idols' or something like that. Would hate to end up disappointed knowing that some of you are not as good looking as I imagine.

Good point , nobody , but I don’t want to lose a player with good brains and dribbling ability , they are quite rare - you could see him leave then comeback to rip us apart years later .

I'm personally not sure he's got what it takes to be at the level we need consistently, I think he'll make it in the game but imo it'll be lower leagues
