It's a shame as he's obviously a good player (scored the same number of goals as Delap last season in half the minutes). Just seems like he can't get himself physically or mentally right.Odd that someone's not taken a punt on him though.

Probably because word has travelled around so clubs, managers and agents know that’s he’s a waste of space. He’s had issues at every club he’s been at. At some point, people cotton on to the fact that no matter how many chances a person gets, they’ll just **** it up.

Usually they fall down the leagues though, a bit like Madison. I suspect Connolly has had offers just not one he feels is acceptable.

2 seasons ago he got 13 goals and 4 assists for a team that got relegated from the Serie A. He averaged 1 in 3 for a team fighting relegation every season, whilst not even playing as an out and out striker.
