I know 3 lads who were at Man Utd with varying degrees of success years ago. They all said the same thing, the first to arrive and the last to leave were always Beckham, Giggs and Scholes. No coincidence, though some people insist there are no such things as coincidences, they all had very long careers at the top. Beckham always asked some of young players to stay behind with him and help him with free kicks. He spent ages doing the same one again and again before moving to a different spot.
They also said Beckham, Giggs and Scholes were the most welcoming and helpful to the young players.
Schmeichel was the most standoffish, which was surprising for one of them as he was a keeper. The first day that lad was there as a 16 year old he was looking lost after training and Beckham asked him if he fancied a bite to eat. He thought that is nice of him and expected he would take him to the canteen or a cafe. Instead he took him back to his place where Posh, who had only had Brooklyn recently, rustled them up some food. He only made it as far as playing some reserve games and a place on the bench before being released but had some great memories.

Lovely story, Lewie Coyle is similar, he looks after the new incomers and makes them feel at home, a bit of humility goes a long way in life.

Chris Bedia to come in today. Top scorer in Switzerland 2022-2024, big tall quick striker, scores all types of goals.

Gustavo Puerta supposedly coming in. Colombian midfielder who featured a handful of times for Leverkusen last season. Looks to be a tenacious technical midfielder.

Rumours

Lewis Travis wealth of experience, top ball winner, a profile of midfielder we’ve been missing for years.

Faride Alidou young winger from Germany previously played under Walter, supposedly lightning quick, scored a few in the Bundesliga last season.

Abu Kamara, right winger from Norwich who’s handed in a transfer request, had a very good season in league 1 last season, we are desperate for a natural right winger.

Jonas Meffert, holding midfielder from Hamburg, the heart beat of Walter’s team there but they don’t want to let him go despite reports of him wanting to come and a transfer request going in.

If we get most of these over the line, then great additions to the squad, and the outlook is a lot brighter. It's quite interesting on X, a number of posters who were berating the brains team 10 days ago, are having to eat a bit of humble pie. At least most are owning up to their negativeness.

Coyle is the oldest lad in our squad too
(Once seri goes)

We must have the youngest squad in the champ surely?

Sunderland I think but we might be close. I made that comment on the pod about potentially starting a midfield of zambrano, the leverkusen lad and simons. <laugh>

A review of the open training session from Atilla on the Hull City International Facebook page...

Just attended the public training session at MKM. First look at some of our new players.

Good to see Drameh back playing again after seeing some pics of him in a walking boot. He looks promising. Not sure how he gonna fit in with Coyle playing top level.

Zambrano first seems to be nervous some bad touches at the begging with a small 4 goals in a corner football but as the game went on he got better and better. Later on a half pitch match game he was real good, had a few good interceptions, great passing and a very clever goal as well (there was not many goals) promising guy

Oscar... oh God. His first touch is bad his passing is bad. Finishing was bad. He really struggled with a small pitch limited space football. Couldn't even score in a training. He should be nowhere near the team after a transfer window closes

The highlight of the day was Charlie Hughes. What a player. Absolute class. What a prospect. Question marks were there if he can play at Championship level. No doubt. He's something in between our league and the PL. Great passing, didn't panic, pinpoint forward passes even up the middle. He's just 20 but so confident! Great in the air.

In between the 2 keeper Racioppi looks much better. He's good with his feet comparing to Pandur who was holding again the ball for relatively long. Not so confident with passing. Definitely Racioppi should be our number 1

Downside of the session was there was no shots on target training. We had a small football on 4 small goals in each corner and than half pitch football. Also at he end they had some game which was even a 7 year old behind me questioning what do we need this for. This session was for the spectators too so they could have ended it with a penalty shootout for example. Get some confidence and also fun for fans
This man is a genius. From one training he ended Óscar's career and gave the balon d'or to Hughes <applause>

This needs clearing up.

The French Tickler is a legendary former poster, but he wasn't the one who knew his onions and talked about 'scooterman' bashing the bishop. That was loyaltigerbrian I think.

Tickler was funny in a different, slightly less deliberate way.

Actually - yes, I think you are correct

EDIT: someone already said the same thing.
