Some of you lot really make me laugh, your like ****ing children. If it happens it happens it’s ****ing football but in my limit opinion if and it’s a big if he’s signing for someone else it would be splashed all over the tinternet. Some in the media and Wigan fans would love nothing better to shout loud “ you’ve missed out again little Hull city “ **** the ****ing lot of um. We will soon know either way, I for one think he is coming….

My Cousin lives in NZ, originally from London. She loves life over there. She’s been there about 12 years, says it’s like the UK was 30 years ago.

An agent I know thinks 2 other clubs are in for him, one being Sunderland. That's based on what the CEO of another club told him. Something isn't sitting right, hopefully we got in there first but may have had to pay over the odds. Kids like him don't just have one club after them.

ITK spells massive weirdo to me whichever way you mix them up so definitely don't want to ever have that tag near me thanks mate

I wouldn't imagine Sunderland would have the money without selling Clarke.

There are loads of really nice places on the outskirts, often right next door to some of the less affluent areas. I'm not sure this is much different to any other City around the planet.
Manchester as a destination is improving year on year, and in quite a substantial way.

Took the family to London in January - first time visit for the kids. Stayed in Greenwich which is a wonderful place. However, literally within an hour of arriving on a walk near Isle of dogs towards Canary Wharf a cyclist banged into me coming around a blind bend in a park (not a cycle lane!). He jumped of his bike with his fists clenched wanting to fight! Had to calm the tosser down. Then had to explain to the kids London is not quite as genteel as North Ferriby!

However, London is still a fantastic City to visit and we went back again for 3 nights in May to see City win the play-off final*
(*City didn't keep to their part of the deal!)

Manchester is an amazing City, like Hull it has rough areas but the centre is well laid out and has some great venues. Unlike Hull.

Playing 'annoy the cyclist' is easiest in London as there are so many of the entitled bell ends everywhere.

It's a long way away, from anything. Was talking to some folk on hols, been there (from UK) 30-odd years. They liked it well enough, didn't regret moving there, but they said they did feel a long way from the rest of the world. They felt it most at holiday times when if they wanted to go somewhere with history, culture, art, buildings, etc it really just left Europe, so it's a major trip and it costs lots of money. Also if big stuff was happening in US/Europe, elections, trouble, national strikes, whatever, they felt it didn't get that much coverage in NZ as they weren't directly affected so they felt a little less informed.
They said, on balance, they preferred life in NZ but they did sometimes feel a little bit cut off, marooned almost.
It reminded me not to take for granted what living here offers. We live in the middle of half the occupied world (loosely speaking|) and we can go more or less wherever we want at the drop of a hat. Cheap flights abound, get in the car and drive somewhere, trains, it's easy.
Each to his own, what some might see as limitations of living in Aus/NZ others will see as welcome benefits.
