Don’t think Blackburn fans think it is a car crash. They have sold over 20,000 season tickets compared to our 16,000 which some people got very excited about.
I was talking to a Blackburn fan last night, they signed 6 last week. He doesn’t think they’ll trouble the playoffs but he didn’t think they are a mess

So…

Sack the manager who achieved one of our top 10 highest ever finishes
Return all the quality loans
Employ a manager with no experience in our league and who has achieved nothing
Sell our 3 best players
Sell all our experienced goalkeepers
Bin a shedload of squad players

Recall a couple of loans (50% of whom don’t seem to have improved)
Sign a couple of Ok looking players
Play a clodhopping lower league team a week before the season starts resulting in injuries to your 2 players who were looking the brightest.

That's bizarre. What's happened there? They were struggling to get 13000 last season

There are quite a few clubs in our current position in fairness.

West Brom are having a fire sale now.
Watford have signed 1 first team player
Pompey haven’t signed anyone.
Blackburn are a mess.
Plymouth are a mess.
Swansea still need to do a lot of business.

The market seems to just be incredibly slow this season, our transfer policy isn’t helping with that but I think the market is just adjusting to how it was pre covid.

We didn't start the fire
It was always burning, since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No, we didn't light it, but we tried to fight it

Competition for places is key. Can't have players like Jones and Slater walking into the team.

Wouldn't ever question their commitment but they're not good enough players to not have to work their bollocks of to justify a place in the team.

When you put it like that…

But while it’s far from a good situation right now, I’d argue the players we have brought in are better than ok.

Tim Walter also looks promising for many reasons. One thing I like is that he gets annoyed when he should be, even in friendlies.

If Acun can come out and make his stance clear, I still think we are going on to better things.

It's telling that Vaughan didn't get a look in this afternoon.

The southern Irish Georgie Best obviously isn't rated.
If you don’t rate a player that’s fine but don’t
And then you run the risk of having players who might not have had a full preseason
And certainly not our preseason
Making it more difficult for Walter to instil the way of playing into them
And more risk of injuries of players not fully up to speed.
Basically it’s now a **** show
players to know how to mark , chase tackle and pass even if not organised and play in their position so we could still make life difficult initially .

At leastv

You seem to have changed your tune howden. You seemed fairly upbeat even until the last few days.

I always said I'd keep my powder dry untill start of the season/end of window to give the club time to do what was needed as I had a fairly good idea of how the market would go for most this summer amongst other things going on, but with how poor we're looking going into the first game, the things I'm hearing re sale and the complete lack of transparency the club is showing.... I feel something isn't right/has changed. I still expect 2/3 before Saturday and even more before the close of the window. But as I say, something just doesn't feel right to me over the last week or so...

Hopefully I'm completely wrong! ( It wouldn't be the first time )

I’m just really hoping Acun has taken a step back but still wants to build a good team.

The signings we seem to be trying to make would suggest long term planning has begun and we have actually become a long term project
