McKenna is a top centre half, we definitely need two we cannot rely on Macca for anything if we are serious.
Macca was excellent tonight. Probably outperformed Jones this preseason.

I always felt Jones was massively helped out by Greaves

Thought he went well tonight but looks rusty and is learning a new formation. He certainly has an engine on himMcKenna is a top centre half, we definitely need two we cannot rely on Macca for anything if we are serious.
Macca was good tonight, Jones is looking the one that can’t be relied upon in this systemMcKenna is a top centre half, we definitely need two we cannot rely on Macca for anything if we are serious.
You mean the same Alfie Jones that played excellently when Greaves was out at LB?
I enjoyed tonight. 4 or 5 signings and I think Walterball will entertain me. I've started looking forward to going to games again.

Anyone else fed up of hearing about add-ons this summer? No one ever used to know or care about the payment structure of a transfer fee, but suddenly this summer it's everywhere. It really shouldn't be of interest to anyone but accountants.
Not sure it's new this summer? We knew all about the Maguire and Bowen add ons for instance.
It's of use because it tells us how much more money we could make from sales.
They don't matter really, if fans care that much about the value of the deal then one figure that we're definitely getting should suffice.
I never understood the whole "a three year deal with the option of a fourth". Well, what's the option for? If you want to give the player a new contract, give them one. If after three years you aren't sure if they should get a contract or not, you probably should let them go. Because how often is an option triggered just to squeeze money out of potential buyers? Is it not more profitable to accept an offer before the contract runs out?
You guys keep telling X will be gone by the end of window etc. but I guess you are not aware that we have 14-15 senior players only. In order to start sending players we need at least 9 players. I feel like most of these players will stay here to cover the bench.
I'd be amazed if it wasn't an undisclosed fee and grammar boy will know as much as any other twitter nonce desperately trying to pretend they are in the know.
Ultimately it doesn't matter. It should be a private transaction anyway. In what other business do people jump over themselves to know how much one business has paid another for an asset?
I still enjoyed it. Fiorentina played some nice stuff. I can still enjoy a game without it being a classic. Was nice to spend time with the family and just be back at the stadium again tonight and saturday after a few months away.Really? The first 70 mins was as bad as we've played in a long time.
Yeah I thought we seemed to be one of the first clubs to do this and it never really made sense. I suppose though it should add more value. For instance we sold Tufan with one year but an un-exercised extra year so theoretically had two years to run. It seems more for cash strapped clubs which we're (hopefully) not anymore.

There were nowhere near as many backwards passes tonight as any game I remember last season. Its time to let him go. If he is that good he will be ripping it up all over Europe for years to come and you can sleep soundly knowing you were right and he is the god.Gotta be honest I watched most of that thinking were making as many backwards passes as Liam got trounced for.
It's amazing how unconscious bias can affect how we see things differently, isn't it?
