Anyone else fed up of hearing about add-ons this summer? No one ever used to know or care about the payment structure of a transfer fee, but suddenly this summer it's everywhere. It really shouldn't be of interest to anyone but accountants.
Good point
Just brought up by silly ****s who like to pretend they’re ITK

They don't matter really, if fans care that much about the value of the deal then one figure that we're definitely getting should suffice.

I never understood the whole "a three year deal with the option of a fourth". Well, what's the option for? If you want to give the player a new contract, give them one. If after three years you aren't sure if they should get a contract or not, you probably should let them go. Because how often is an option triggered just to squeeze money out of potential buyers? Is it not more profitable to accept an offer before the contract runs out?

Was mint on champ for a while. Was excited when he signed. Unfortunately we didn't win the premier league, world club championship and dominate Europe with him.

I was a teenager at the time and naturally thought that this exotic import goalie must be ace. Turned out he was no better than Matt Duke and barely ever even made the bench. If it was today there'd be a huge clamour for him to play because Boaz not commanding his area is costing us points, or something.

The whole year option thing seemed to be one of Ehab's favourite tricks. Don't remember it being as prominent prior.

Now on a personal note I am still trying to find out how I am going to be able to watch the games. Had a yearly subscription that worked great last season, now with the new Sky deal I wondering will that be available for overseas fans. Does anyone know???
According to the EFL website, no domestic games will be available on iFollow or club's own streaming sites, but the streaming overseas of games will continue.
