That lads transfer fee, compensated one of the stands in current stadium of Fener and then Baljic covered 2 more stands.
Drameh is a good signing, looking forward to more through the door in the next few days. It's a shame the majority of pre-season has been wasted though.
So we sell two perfectly competent, experienced goalkeepers who rarely let us down. We don't trust two promising goalkeepers who performed exceptionally well in professional English leagues last season. We sign a rookie keeper at great expense from a Micky Mouse European league. The manager takes one look, says nah and refuses to have him near the team, Manager gets sacked. New guy proves himself to be a terrible judge of goalkeepers by putting the hapless sap between the sticks. Concedes a hatful in just two games. I'm wrong aren't I? Tell me why I'm wrong.

Pandur could’ve done better on maybe one of the goals he’s conceded so far. We don’t know if he’s the answer or not yet, but we do know Allsop and Ingram certainly weren’t.
We have conceded 60 goals in 46 games last season. 61 previous season. That's less than 1.4, so numbers are on his side.
I think the bold part is wrong. Walter hasn't really had a choice. I think Pandur will be #2 once he has another senior keeper to call upon. If anything, the fact Pandur is taking all these batterings as early is this probably helps with the political side of replacing Pandur with his own keeper despite Acun's love for the guy.
You can’t judge a goalkeeper off a sample size of 2 games. Especially when in those two games he’s playing behind a defence who’s learning a new system, under a new manager, with a severely weekend team. He’s also had no chance of saving at least 6/7 of the goals he’s conceded. I’m yet to see Pandur get beaten easily at the front post like Allsop did on several occasions
I agree that he will probably end up no 2 and perhaps rightly so given the lack of experience but he's hardly done much wrong up to this point and it's such a shame to see that consistently a vocal proportion of our fan base is unwilling to give players a decent chance. Just seemingly desperate to knock them, as happened with Longman, as is in the process of happening with Giles and now Pandur.
You can judge basic skills though, and he lacks a lot of them. I am not even buying this goalkeeper learning a new system claims, we are not talking about a field player here, neither a sweeper keeper like Guardiola's very special role. It is championship, find a keeper who can catch the ball. That's enough.
“Yes, (some of the youngsters are not quite at the level) that's what we saw and for everybody who is here or on the TV. They saw that we need more numbers and that's the point, because, yes, to step into the Championship and to secure our goals, that's not possible with that squad at the moment. We keep going because I'm the coach, I'm the gaffer, and it's the only way I can do and the rest is up to the management." Walter starting to sound a bit more agitated
I agree, and every player should be supported, but to be honest I think with Pandur there is a specific reason the bar is high for him. The owner bought him against the then manager's wishes, complained when he wasn't used and then eventually sacked that manager. All this upheaval for the sake of this one keeper, so yeah people expect him to be good. I have a bit less sympathy than I do for someone like Longman, a cheap player who was never promised to be a world-beater but has served us to the best of his ability.
You're not wrong. But the essential caveat is that we'll be signing a first team keeper this window, unless one of our current 3 does something absolutely remarkable in the meantime. And we got not-insignificant fees for both.
