I agree on the whole, I think slater falls under that category long term though? Hopefully we sign someone in this mould too though as we need a good mix of players like this and youth to be successful long term as well as shortHe's a good player and would improve us but it feels similar to the Turkish signings we've made in the past. I don't think he'd stick around very long, he'd cost a good chunk in both transfer fees and wages, he's at the wrong age and we're almost certain to lose money on him. Surely we'd be better off trying to sign somebody younger (around 22-24) and grow and develop them. Hopefully not having to shell out as big wages.
