I’d like to think Walter ball will suit him much better than Rosey ball…

We’re 12 players short with zero strikers (the most expensive position on the pitch) ‘in the building’. Makes absolutely no sense.

I guess It's possible, he did seem to have something about him but I wouldn't like to bet on it. If you think about the likes of Foden and Silva for Man City, part of the reason they work well on the wings is because of the rotations they have so maybe he will find a way to fit in Walterball, of course, The other reason they work so well is because they're elite players which Sinik will never be so who knows haha.

I guess Tufan out allowed Giles to come in. Or maybe the announcement was held back a bit to soften the blow.

Always good to see incomings happen, and I do think continuity is important, particularly with all the outgoings. He's a player of real pedigree who other clubs are known to have wanted. And that's left back sorted now.

On the other hand, I think it's pretty clear that this is a deal we agreed to in January, for quite a significant fee and it's possible that Walter would've preferred not to spend such a portion of our budget on one player, a defender at that.

I think it says a lot that despite the time he had with us, Boro still wanted him. 100% deserves a fresh start and a chance to show what he can really do.

It's an obligation, we don't have an option.
We can now sell him to Middlesbro but we had to buy him.

But then why did the quote say “triggered an option”. Seems a bit weird.

Well I hope Giles improves between the last time I saw him and the next time, because he's not worth £4 million in a month of SUNDAYS..

They might well have wanted him but not in a million years would they have stumped up 4 mill.
