We'd be better off signing a LB who can do a shift at RB, a reverse KWP. Very hard to find I suppose though.

I think that Ralph likes that inverted wingback roll on the left, Holmgren Pederson can do this, So it would be a very sensible signing.

We can bring Small through slowly too, no pressure on the kid, perhaps loan him out to Ross County for the season! I'm sure he'd settle there too with Kazeem already there.

Just seen Hudson-Odoi listed as a target for us this window. Surely not? The google says he's on 6.2m/pa and for comparison the same site says JWP is on 2.3m/pa. It's a well trod path now from Chelsea but this would be a next level signing.

Would have to be a loan....

Well JWP is on 100k At least, So 5.2 per annum is alot more accurate for him.. And would make sense for Hudson Odoi, I think he is on 120K which is about 6.2 M per annum so that part is correct.

I agree it woul have to be a loan unless he drops his wages by a 3rd!

It does seem a real stretch as he was close to their team last year. But they are bringing in Rafinha and Sterling by the seams of it. So him going is not beyond the realms of possibility. To us though? Less likely

I’d expect they will move on Ziyech and Pulisic first

If Spurs secure Spence and Richarlison then they would have had an superb window.
Solid backup goalie, Bissouma to reinforce their midfield, fix their right wing back issue (with presumably Perisic as a weird Conte style work around at LWB) and finally, finally having a "backup" to Harry Kane but one who can also start in the same side - which is what they needed all along. They have spent years trying to find someone to agree to be a backup number 9 and, for obvious reasons, never succeeded

Seems like Levy is actually going for it - backing Conte and making a push for the title (or CL I guess). But I wouldn't be surprised if he goes if he doesn't get one of those (or maybe breaks the top two). Which is still a big ask

Chelsea are baffling. I have just read rumours linking them with an enormous move for De Ligt. But there also links to Kounde, Kimpembe from PSG and buying back Ake years after giving up on him. All while Colwill is sitting there. No wonder there is rumours of him leaving. If they sign two defenders then surely he will go. If you can't bring through someone who is apparently one of your hottest prospects in back 3 with Thiago Silva next to him guiding him then you are never going to (they still might of course). I guess they are just panicking at their CB back list of Silva, Chalobah, Sarr and cover from Azpilicueta. They lost two so will bring two in it seems.

That account knows nothing, they just rehash stuff which has been reported elsewhere and claim it as their own knowledge with no source listed.

Also, no chance do we sign CHO, even on loan we would need to split his wages significantly. Can see him ending up in the bundesliga or the likes of Everton/Villa.

I think he’s probably out of reach financially but he does match with our needs quite well given that he can play at right wing back or in the 10 roles. He’s also still young and has been forceful in the past about trying to put himself in situations where he will get regular game time. He tried to force moves to Germany twice and held Chelsea up over a contract as he thought they wouldn’t give him a pathway. Quite right too IMO.

Yeah, i think he ticks all boxes apart from affordability. Loan deal is the only way it could work from our side, but that doesn't really help Chelsea (he only has 2 years on contract) and he may well want a permanent deal.

Given his history, I think he’d be willing to take a pay cut. The guy has always just seemed to want minutes. Chelsea would probably be quite keen to sell too as they don’t really need him. I still think it’s unlikely though unfortunately.

Leeds looks to have signed their Phillips replacement with a 30m player from Salzburg

I know they are getting loads of money in from Phillips and Raphinha but surely their books aren't balances. They have sold no one for I think 3 years now and spent 200m (and I believe this doesn't count this summer's purchases). I don't get it. Everton are apparently on the brink of FFP issues (and Leeds even made a complaint towards the end of the season). How can they not be? Some weird loophole due to not being in the premier league for all of the seasons ?

Seems crazy to me how much they spend - it is more net than anyone in world football

Really? I'm surprised by this, Daniel James and Rodrigo are their record transfers at £26m.

Their net spend was ranked as 15th highest in England (over the past 5 years) as of 16 months ago.

However, Leeds' wiggle room for spending - before running into FFP limits - in January was surprisingly high though!
