I would take winks on the cheap. I actually rate him. But we could definitely do better for 25mil
If we could sign him for £12Million, that could work out to be smart business. But foe 25, they can take a run and jump.

Surely ends their interest in JWP.Bissouma confirmed to Spurs

Winkiesta? Because he drives a budget family hatchback?Round our parts he's called Winkiesta and for good reason.
Highly recommend you sign him.

I heard it was Captain Crab![]()
He's from my local team's academy. He's a very good passer, very athletic, but also prone to stupid mistakes. He probably wouldn't be good enough to start at this point but he does have a lot of potential. All I've seen is he is 22, know nothing about the kid either.

Potential at CB is not exactly what we need right now but as long we sign someone dominant and experienced as well I won't mind.
It's good to see that part of the new assistant manager's remit is the defensive set up of the team.
My guess is that Ralph missed Vesty's passing this past year and (assuming this rumor is actually true) sees Richards as a defender that could bring that dynamic back while also being able to move faster than a drunk snail. The problem is that Richards isn't the best at the defending part of being a defender and was mostly hidden on the right side of a back 3 at his current club. I worry that being in a back 4 would expose him a bit.
Was that meant to be an apostraphe ?He's good at pinching the ball?
Cruel, oh so cruel!A defender who can't defend would fit in well here with our strikers that don't score.

There an indication that we're in for him? Because you're right that he'd definitely fit our MO: had a really good campaign in difficult circumstances for Derby, would be cheap (we'd have to pay compensation, but it'd be sweet fk all based on my limited understanding of the compensation system), and we could almost certainly find him minutes straight of the gate.

I actually think Winks would be a decent replacement for JWP if he went.
£75m from Toon.
£15m on Winks
£60m to spend on a striker and number 10.
Spoke to a Spurs mate about this who confirmed my thoughts. He's a nothing player, not awful at anything but not great at anything. Passes sideways and backwards too much, never seems to do a lot and most of the time you can't remember that he played. In my book definately not a replacement for JWP unless its money ball and we are looking to just replace the sideways/backwards passing and someone else will be doing the running/tackling/setpieces/goal scoring.
