There is a whisper from someone who said Dobson was signing a few days ago that we are interested in Joe Pigott and Jack Tucker.

Today could be a busy day. Tucker, Morrell and Jordan Ibe's names been mentioned.
Apparently Mullin will be confirmed this weekend
Any news or source re Mullin ?
He could be the 20+ goalscorer we still need. He's moving up a level, but he ripped League 2 apart last season and at 26 there's still room for a few more years at his peak.
Would be a good signing imo.

Somebody has put on Wikipedia that Paul Mullin's agent Ken Swain has said that he has signed for Charlton. Cambridge fans think that he has signed for us. But nothing has been confirmed by Charlton, which is a bit puzzling.

Thanks DP. Will be good if it happens, but I won't be convinced until it appears on the OS or from a reliable source. Wiki is notoriously inconsistent. Could just be pending his medical, But who knows ?

Strange that JF-C still hasn't signed up. Whatever it is that he's been offered it's more than any other club will play for a crock with his injury record.

Agreed. He ought to be biting the Club's hand off.
If he's holding out for a better deal in the state he's in, then let him go. Some people have just got no gratitude.

The club should give him 48 hours take it or leave it. We've just signed a midfielder, Albie Morgan can do his job, by the time JF-C is fit young Henry should have come through, and we're supposed to be utilising the Academy.

All kind of true, but we don't really know what's going on..........what he's been offered, if anything, what his prognosis is, how his recovery is going, the club policies in regard to players injured whilst under contract and ongoing insurance etc etc.

Come on guys, be kind..........lets wait to see what transpires.

i think it's time to withdraw the contracts. not signing them is non-commitall. not the sort of player we want around.

JFC should have signed up sooner - how's he ever going to recover properly when he's not on the books. we'll hardly pay his medical fees or mortgage.

A one year deal with the option of a second year.

Does that mean if the Club wishes to trigger the option then JFC can't just walk away?
If so, then I'm happy <ok>
Get well soon Jake <peacedove>

Seems incredibly quiet on the transfer front.

We were kind of told things would happen in July after old contracts expired.
Then there were rumours about three players coming in last weekend...
What's happening?

I don't think it has ever been this quiet. Everytime somebody asks Cawley if we are interested in a player he says no.
