Thought we might have kept him and released either long or Ingram.
I wondered about that as well, though there's always a line of juniors waiting to replace them, and the club has to make a decision / gamble to keep them on and release one of the other 2. Also hopefully he finds a club and gets game time which is as valuable for any players to get experienced and noticed for a long term career

Also interested in Mark Duffy released by Sheff United, had been on loan with Den Haag and Stoke, not played a lot of games on the past couple of years, at 34 years old has experience but doesn't in with McCann and Ehab's master plan to buy in young players, develop and sell on though.

He'd be a good signing, so we won't get him, more likely we'll just re-sign Darryl Duffy.

My only concern with Mark Duffy is he couldn't get much game time with Stoke and Den Haag. He played 5 games for Den Haag on a 6month loan deal but then Covid19 kicked in and this would have cut short his game time there. I was trying to find a link between Duffy and McCann, they both played for Scunthorpe but Terry had already left the Iron before Duffy signed for them.
He seems to have fallen out with Wilder at Sheff United and didn't get much of a look in over the past couple of seasons. He looks a useful signing, sadly as you say, we won't get him.

Played 39 games in the season Sheff United were promoted from League One and 36 games in the season they were promoted from the Championship (which was only a season back), he's just the sort of old head we're lacking.

I'm pretty sure we already have our quota of non-tackling show ponies.

Plus, he hasn't played for Doncaster...
