I think his wage expectations were also grossly over rated as well.
No one will pay what he wants with the salary cap in place. I thought he was **** as well.
MM gamble to run down his contract so he has a choice of offers, and a nice signing on fee hasn't paid off.
Would have helped if his form when he played for us earlier this year wasn't so chronic...

He was also very lazy. Didn’t see him tracking back and putting in a tackle.

Can't have too many CB's, Goalkeepers, RB's, strikers, wingers, ....... and 20 to 23 year olds.
From the little I saw of him, he's worthless to any club. He has talent, but he's too up his own arse to work hard. That's no good to anyone.
I dunno, he’s probably got enough tattoos to make it in the premier league, just needs to work on the football side of things.

First, just a quick reminder of what was (eventually) said at the end of last seasons debacle. It isn't verbatim, but it really isn't far off.
We've learnt a lot of harsh lessons.
We need to add experience, leadership, nous.
We will get our business done early so that we make sure we are ready for an aggressive start.
Then, here's what's happened in reality so far:
Not including the loss of our 2 most influential players, Bowen and Grosicki, at the very end of the January transfer window ....
Senior players DEPARTED:
- 14 players (including Milinkovic who sort of doesn't count, other than it's another wage of the payroll)
- 9 of which were 25 or over i.e. experienced
Senior players IN
- 5. (Yes, five, and that includes Arthur, assuming he comes straight into the 1st team squad)
- 1 of which is 25 or over
And here we are 5 days from the season start.
Sobering? Not really a surprise (that it's just yet more empty rhetoric & bullshit)?
Still, we shouldn't have too much trouble achieving Grant's aim for the season.
