The well known goal machine, who was going to score a bucketful at Ipswich, according to 'some' on here.
He sounds are really good signing, might be a clever move by him, he is likely to get first-team football earlier than he would at TWS, so might improve his development.
I wouldn't say Elliot Bond's is off the radar, I follow his progress at Cheltenham. So far just 2 sub appearances in the league, though he played a full 90 minutes in their EFL trophy when they beat Plymouth 2-0.
What? Bonds has done brilliantly so far. We took him after he was released by Dagenham and he had a very good year for the 23s. He's gone to Cheltenham and done well. He got an injury at the start of the season which cost him a first XI place and once again they've started very well which makes it harder to get in at present. But he'll get his chance over the coming weeks. Every chance he comes back to us and is a viable first team option
He was just an example used JEX.... we have Greaves back in the fold now and until any cup games come along he's bench warming despite all the plaudits he received, then add Chadwick, Sheaf etc. Its not as if were Chelsea loaning players out and yet we're shopping. Lets be honest, we're hardly the transfer kings....
Watched most the 2nd half of Cheltenham v Grimsby last night. An awful lot to like about Bonds, he's big and skilful and played the full 90. He played in a more advanced midfield role instead of his usual deeper position. By all accounts he had a very good first half, the bit I saw he was okay, I'd fancy him to do a good job for us in the future. Edwards of Grimsby caught the eye too, little nippy winger on loan from Bristol City.
Crystal Palace have signed former Liverpool full back Nathaniel Clyne on a short term deal (he was on loan at Bournemouth last season).
Leeds’ Robbie Gotts, who we were allegedly attempting to loan, is about to join Lincoln City on loan.
Derby have agreed a deal to sign Colin Kazim-Richards, who's now 34 (Derby will be his 17th senior club).
