Agreed, think KLP has a higher ceiling too, he's a bit quicker and a touch more skilful. Whether he fulfils his potential is the big question though

What level has Brewster played at? Pretty much the Championship!

Easy to forget as Bowen's done well but there were loads of question marks over him making the step up, as a winger he's not blessed with lightning pace and West Ham were the only club interested in him permanently. There was an auction for Brewster, Eze, and Watkins with 2/3 clubs in for each.

We've done some bad business over the years, but this was right up there with the best.

Watkins is nowhere near the player Bowen is. Watkins was an out and out striker in a good Championship team. Bowen was a winger in a poor team.

West Ham bought him in January as a signing to keep them up in the PL. Prices in January are inflated for those reasons.

We could and should have got more.

That may well have been true. It's not so apparent in his performances for the Hammers games I've seen him play in. He drifts in and out in my opinion.

My in laws are mad hammer fans .. they rate him and think he has been one of their best signings in recent times saying nothing but good things about him

Never said he hadn't, I said he was leaving the premiership champions not a championship team. If we where in the prem when we sold Bowen then we would have no doubt got more.

We got a fair deal for Bowen

No. We could have got and should have got more. He effectively kept West Ham in the PL.

Wether or not he kept them up has sod all to do with it, you can't go back and say it should have been more just because he's done well. The same as saying well they should have given us less if he'd of gone there and be absolutely rubbish.

We got a decent deal for Bowen

Spot on.We got a fair wedge for Bowen considering we were a Championship Club at the time,we are (and always will be)at the mercy of the top clubs.
