We'll have none of this 'slicing through defences' thank you very much. If he starts that shenanigans he'll be out. If he doesn't hoof the ball up top as soon as he gets it, he'll be training with the 23s.
Forget the Prem OS, with half of our 2015 L1 winning side down in the valley's, you won't be top 6 this season, so the new guy will have a hell of a job with these signings. Your fans mock Fulham 'trying to buy their way back', but they have made better signings than you and Huddersfield.
Don't think we're mocking Supcon, possibly envious that we can't compete financially. Even annoyed that teams get away with flouting the rules. Probably glad that the current management team aren't following suit with the likelihood of going bust. Also, incredulous at the arrogance of many fans that think the CAN buy their way back and deserve to be top because they've made all these signings. Despite all their spending last year, they remained behind us.
Just reading on the BBC site that its Harrison REED who has signed for Fulham on a season long loan from Southampton. Edit: Also, as pointed out by someone on the Fulham board, no formal announcement about Reid, with the extended period having closed at 7pm. Though this on our official site. Yes, its a loan. https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/bobby-de-cordova-reid-joins-fulham
That’s good as when Neil retires and we get a modern manager in, Reid will come back and play on a more attacking open team.
I can see your glass is half full. I did think that myself, but my view has been clouded by today's panic business.
Don’t forget the evergreen Matt Connelly. What must it be like to pick up thousands of pounds a week to play the odd five a side or join in with the development squad games? Surely he wants to play a decent level of football whilst he is able to? I’d be banging on at Warnock to let him go to Bristol Rovers or Swindon so at least he can play.
On the face of it a really piss poor transfer window, but I've got a funny feeling there's a few of us on here including me going to eat our words. Lack of pace will still be an issue, but looking down that spine of the team with Morrison, Flint, Pack, Paterson, Glatzel setting their stalls out, there won't be many sides who'll get a comfortable ride. We need Vassell and Vaulks to hit the ground running, and FFS Murphy - get some of the Mendez mentality and have a real go instead of falling over. Maybe not the type of football we'd like to see, but it looks like the Warnock "plan A" is the only game in town but it's got a lot stronger.
After sleeping on it, i might br in a slightly more positive mindset looking at the window as a whole. Nothimg wrong with the start. Some half decent signings early. A few questions in the middle when ken, and bruno went (not sure why we rushed out for flint when we had nelson - seem a bit overloaded once sol comes back). Then a decent signing in Glatzel. The last few days were chaos. Panic signings. Colin said he wanted 6 signings. 3 starters and 3 squad players. For the first game, the only new signing to play was flint, and he wouldnt have arrived if bruno stayed. Ok with 3 players leaving, we needed more than 3 and 3, but only if we shifted some others on. Vaulks has been with us all pre-season but we started with baccuna. The big failing was exits. We now have a bloated squad (again) and seem to have signed players that wont get a look in (nelson). On the whole, reasonable window, with the last 2 days spoiling what could have been a good window.
Couldn't agree more. A dreadful transfer deadline day (from the perspective of excitement), but genuinely hope we chow on these words! Warnock knows what he is doing. Sure, the football isn't pretty but Warnock gets wins at this level. I've still got faith in him.
There will be 2 sides to the story, but looks like an agent at the heart of it again. Not sure if Bobby has backed the right horse though. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cardiff-city-boss-neil-warnock-16726717

Yep saw that Jay. I suspect like the Bobby Reid "£10M" headline figure, it'll be dependent upon other factors. Reid was actually £8.5M with a "staying up" add on that didn't happen.
