A false dawn or like a new signing? Carrying him OR Ken hoping they come good is one thing, spending wages on both.. ... I'd be happier with Ken.
Personally I’d be keen to see him being given a go; he’s got such talent and is a match winner. If NW could get the best out of him he’d be a real asset next season. Why look for that elusive quality midfielder when we have one already waiting in the wings?
If you start with the front 4 we used against manure you need 2 workhorsesin midfield. Don't see him being one of them. If you play him as the 10, Bobby drops out. Think I'd ptefeer bobby totomlin. Saying that it's a squad game......
Pie in the sky Nin. We can't afford to take the chance. Can't believe this Tomlin issue has raised its' head again. Just how much rope do you need to pay out for "lost souls"? History doesn't lie. Tomlin hasn't had some sort of lightbulb moment that's made him realise where's he's gone wrong in the past. The guy is a wasted talent with only himself to blame. I wouldn't want to rely on him coming good this season - he's had enough chances and pissed on his chips once too often for me. Get someone in for the midfield skill factor (and pay good money!!) who wants to be at the club and will make a difference to the squad this season, rather than relying on someone who has consistently failed. That may sound harsh but we owe Tomlin nothing, and probably even less to Warnock for taking him on in the first place.
He has never performed at the level needed at the top of the Championship so it's a no from me. Ironically some of his best performances have been against us. In addition he, like Madine, has expressed a preference to be playing for a club based in the north Midlands or further north, to be closer to his family. We are unlikely to recoup what we paid for him so look to loan him out again to a Championship club for his last year so at least he can't crap on our doorstep. In fact he could do us some favours by performing well against our rivals. Again, like Madine, an expensive but poor purchase by Warnock. He seems to do better with players acquired early in the transfer window. That being the case, Colin pull your finger out in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

Last week he'd nearly signed. Now, he's nearly, nearly signed. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport.../qualities-vaulks-bring-cardiff-city-16480855
Slow transfer news for us so far. I really hope we don't leave it until the last minute and panic buy! Isn't it strange how the likes of Madine aren't really attracting any attention
My hope is that transfer news is short lived. We need get our business done this week and next week, then let it all go quiet. What we don't want is protracted posturing as with that Liverpool lad last year. I was so traumatised by it, I've forgotten his name. No preamble, just announce the signing.
At least that's one McKay gone................ https://www.chesterfield-fc.co.uk/news/20192/june2/20190626-triple-transfer-swoop/
I wonder what Colin's engagement was in all these McKay's. I hope he was suitably distanced, but it all seemed a little cosy. One of the lads was implicated in the arranging of the flight for Sala. Cant remember which of the two.
It was definitely Jack - I think he texted Sala about his dad arranging a flight to get him to France and back - we know the rest.
Another CB?........ https://www.footballinsider247.com/...r-signing-6ft-3in-colossus-wanted-by-rangers/
https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-schalke-to-submit-10m-plus-bid-for-cardiff-city-player/ £10m for a player we paid £11m for?
Why, unless doubts over Sol's ability to recover or Manga leaving? I thought the Nelson lad from Oxford was coming in as CB cover with Connolly likely to leave. If we were to pay £5m+ then he wouldn't be coming to sit on the bench.
Hope that is just paper talk. With a year's Prem experience and good "guidance" from Warnock I have big hopes for Murphy this year against lesser defenders.
