Exactly what I was wondering. No, otherwise he'd no longer be here.
There is still the possibility of a last minute £10 million bid for Bowen to test the Allams resolve.

Some of us are probably wondering if not selling Grosicki and Bowen, along with appointing McCann and paying compo to get him, might be significant?

Hell of a signing.
Don't get me wrong , it's still a poor window but I was expecting an abysmal one . And while Bowen and Grosicki are still around we have a chance in any match at this level as shown last year at Bellend Road , and even tho won't be enough for topSort of see the viewpoint, but a different take on it .......
So far, 12 out, 6 in of which 1 sent straight out, so effectively 5 in.
... from a squad that was already lacking, and with at least 1 (MH), maybe more, still likely to go before the end of August.
No Bowen sale = no new owners. Of course, no guarantee that a Bowen sale brings new owners but it surely increases the probability significantly (c. £20 mill debt v's c. £40 mill post Harry sale).
Even with Bowen (and Grosicki) we will likely be around mid-table at best. So we face the prospect of a nothing season with the ****s still as owners.
Sorry to say, but I think I'd rather see him sold (for around £20 mill) in the hope we get new owners.
And unless we make a handful of quality signings in the next couple of days, which looks doubtful but let's see, then I don't see how anyone can be happy with this window (including GMcC if he's honest).
Then again, could have been worse for sure.
Of course, maybe better to wait until Friday morning and see how things pan out, but it's a message board which would be pretty boring if we all just waited until after events before sharing our thoughts, opinions and feelings (like let's wait until the season is over before we say 'owt!!).

6 , they should keep us out the bottom 6 . Id take 20m if it would be reinvested , but would take satisfaction if the greedy ****ers didn't get their mits on it . It really highlights the mess of supporting this club at the moment that I would rather lose a star player for free next year then get 20 million pounds
Does he have a release clause?Bowen has got another 2 years to go on his contract I think.
Exactly. That is why it is unbelievable there have been no bids at all for Bowen.8 of the top 9 scorers in the Championsip are now with PL clubs.
Ah right , even Better thenBowen has got another 2 years to go on his contract I think.

hes also got great agility in sneaking out of bog windows while still rammed with last nights coke.I think Ferdinand is a top bloke. He came across really well in the documentaries following the sad loss of his wife. How he’d turn up to local widower events. He’s got a sharp sense of humour![]()
