Dunno, contract law not my strongest suit...Why would you need to?
If someone gets sent down then you just terminate their contract as they can’t meet their contractual obligations

P.S. the sun's Alan Nixon is saying we've got competition from Blackpool for his signature
Nor mine, but I know a little and you definitely can’t meet your side of an employment contract from a prison cell (unless you’re a prison warden!)Dunno, contract law not my strongest suit...
But you could if you got a suspended sentence, community service or something? I would have thought a 'criminal conviction' clause would be a standard clause in any contract.Nor mine, but I know a little and you definitely can’t meet your side of an employment contract from a prison cell (unless you’re a prison warden!)
Ah, apologiesBut you could if you got a suspended sentence, community service or something? I would have thought a 'criminal conviction' clause would be a standard clause in any contract.
Mine always do!Ah, apologies
I thought we were discussing getting sent to prison.
Criminal convictions don’t normally get mentioned in contracts but dismissal could happen through a standard disciplinary process if the conviction was for something serious enough (or even if you weren’t convicted, or even charged, but the works panel felt you’d done it on the ‘balance of probabilities’...rather than conviction which needs to be clear ‘beyond reasonable doubt’)
My head hurts now...I might need a drink!
Do the wardens sleep in cells?Nor mine, but I know a little and you definitely can’t meet your side of an employment contract from a prison cell (unless you’re a prison warden!)
I take your point but it wouldn't be hard to have a clause in the contract which renders it null and void in the event of a criminal conviction.
That's a nice windfall for us then. Erm... Oh yer
CorrectedThat's a nice windfall for Ehab then... Oh yes!![]()

A lot of non-trustworthy sites (The72, TeamTalk et al) are saying Bowler is due at the KCOM for a medical today after a loan deal has been struck.
They seem to be regurgitating each other’s stories, but it’s probably likely as we need cover in the wide positions.
I’d prefer to see a CM come in though.
If it finally pushes the twats out it will be the greatest windfall we have ever had
Can't see Ehab paying the medical team double time to work on a Sunday.
My hope too, just hope we have no one of outstanding talent coming through the ranks or we will never get rid,
Footballs finally gone mad
