    Steve Bruce's legacy.
And you have to say it, the Allams have done more for our youth system than any other owners.

... if you can overlook what they did with the Airco Arena, then yes, perhaps so.
    But I can't. Simple as.
"doing what is morally right....for us".
They deserve no credit for ANYTHING related to 'our' football club. Because everything 'they've' achieved has been at a price not worth paying.

Unfortunately there's now the complication (to the sale of the club) of the potential add-ons.
But yes, let's hope this and the imminent Bowen sale does it.

They have, to be fair, couldn't argue with that. Was it not Bruce that argued for a better youth team set up? Was it him that oversaw our move to Bishop Burton?

"Nottingham Forest and Hull City are among the clubs keen on Hervin Ongenda, report FootMercato on Sunday.

The Championship clubs are join by a few others. Chievo Verona, Brescia and Ghent are mentioned, and there’s also said to be interest from unnamed clubs in Turkey and the Gulf states.

Ongenda is a 24 year old forward currently playing for Botosani in Romania’s top tier. His current contract lasts until June 2020, so it’s decision time this summer on whether to renew, leave, or see that deal run down.

France’s FootMercato believes the player’s transfer would be ‘affordable’ because of the contract situation, and there’s a good chance this information is coming from someone close to the Paris born player.

There’s a suggestion of quick movement on the potential transfer over the coming days, so Nottingham Forest and Hull City would likely have to do something about their interest soon.

Last season he played 37 matches, scored three goals and added five assists."

Former PSG player, crap strike rate, fast as hell. Scored three goals in the Romanian Liga I this season and registered five assists.

Not sure why Forest are interested, they can afford much better. Competition from any Gulf states would mean we're out of the race, if this were true. Which I suspect it isn't.

Regarding the sale of Bowen, it will not be today.
At 3 pm I was picking our cat up from the Cattery at Leconfield, Bowen and his girlfriend were also collecting their cat.
I asked if they had enjoyed Marbella , they said Yes they had. I then asked if he was leaving City anytime soon, his girlfriend smiled and said nothing.
You heard it here first, no inside info' at all.
Thought you might like to know that he is a Cat lover. UTT.

Are we still using / renting the facilities at Bishop Burton? some say the club effectively stole the Airco Arena for their own use, we are still using the lock up in Cottingham? although if I remember right the pitch there has been replaced / improved.

The big plus is the number of kids coming through the youth system, although that's because we are lacking in numbers for the first team squad. The down side of that is it may mean the Allams won't sell up any time soon, as you only need one Bowen every year or two for them to be in profit ( or 3 - 4 million pounders )

To be fair ST I've stopped paying attention to reports like this when it states we're interested in a certain player, I read it only to find out that so is most of the championship .

Yep, still renting, and still 'stealing' the Airco.
It's great to see young talent emerging, especially local talent. That's a plus, even though it's largely out of necessity.
But otherwise, virtually no legacy from 3 PL stays, 2 being under the twats. It really is a great legacy they are leaving.
As said, they deserve ZERO credit for anything related to 'our' club. ZERO. To say otherwise is to turn a blind eye to the despicable acts and serious, maybe even irreparable damage they've done to the club.

Not at all. Credit when it is due but also call the club out for any wrong doing. I cannot accept all of the negativity all the time. Yes have a go over issues you dont agree with but you cannot deny certain facts over the last 8 years. To do so is to imply that the club has not moved forward when it certainly has. For 100 years we were an average league 2 side (at best) Now by the standards expected by the average not606 poster that is not an acceptable standard and the expectation is that we should either be top 6 or higher. Indeed I agree that as a club Hull City should be expected to return to the premier league very soon. Last season far exceeded anyones expectations and yet once again most posters are expecting a relegation fight yet right now we still have 11 of the 14 man squad that beat Bolton 6-0.

Agree. All the reports from Marbella suggest that this should be a no-brainer. He has a long history with McCann so I'm sure he wants him. Competition from Blackpool ??? Give me a break. Must be the Allams again IMO. Remember Andre Gray But Tafazolli is on a free !!!!!

Each to their own but I couldn't disagree more.
We have Brown, Duffen, Ash, Barmby Deano et al to thank for changing forever the perception of our club and our aspirations. All before the twats darkened our door. What the Allams have since 'achieved' is overshadowed multiple times over by how they've gone about things and the damage done. No credit, just disgust.

Not sure where you get that opinion from.

The Allams have destroyed all the good work Pearson did engaging with the public of Hull up until their tenure started. Yes, technically they kept us afloat and gave us some good times, but they've far outstripped that with the bad and there is no guarantee that they will not do worse. They have no interest in the club or the community other than pennies

I've said before, I believe we would be in a better position today if we had folded and reformed. We would still have decent support, and the support is more important than what league we are in. They just don't get it though.

How do you know we would have decent support??
Looking at our past history there is no evidence to suggest we would.

I know, that’s fair enough, but it’s a transfer rumour regarding us, so I just post them when I see them.

Somebody semi-reliable I met over the weekend seems confident that Herbie Kane is joining this week, season long loan.

Burnley have always been a bigger club then Hull City. They have a past that makes us look like a Sunday League outfit in comparison.
