Gotta feeling Wilks might have brought some trouble with him (without knowing much more than read on here), but as someone said, troubled past (which isn't fully dealt with, rather going to a new club than work with McCann again, etc), should be better fish around than that to find.

Yupp, looks very promising from what I've seen!
Was hyped, delivered during 1 season with Malmö, got shipped away to Italy.

Alexander Isak is the one you gotta watch.
Future TOP player. Absolute STEAL by Real Sociedad. Think they paid like 6-7 million quid.
I'm not gonna be surprised if there's another 0 behind that tag in a couple of years (hype train alert)

I'd say there's probably plenty of cheap talent available to pick up from all Scandinavian leagues.

According to Swedish media Pontus Jansson has got into problems with Bielsa.

Was he expecting the red carpet to be rolled out for him at Millhouse Wood Lane and all the players to line up and applaud him ?
Remember another player pulling a last minute stunt like this, which is basically playing one club against another.
DJ Campbell ? Held talks with City, had the medical, then taken for lunch with his agent by City officials on Princes Ave, nipped out for a smoke and pissed off to join someone else ( Blackburn) ? Never to be heard of again.
If they don't want to play for us then we don't want them.

I make it a rule to never believe what a player says immediately after signing for a club, whether they’ve joined us or someone else.
Nothing to see here, he’s just trotted out a standard phrase from the ‘just signed’ list of things to say.

On a positive note, this failed signing proves McCann can sign players he wants and that there's a little money available without having to sell players first.

Im sure we've somebody else lined up. I do think we should loan a winger though, If he's only going to be backup to Bowen/Grosicki, bring in a loan or move someone up from the u23's. If Bowen/Grosicki are sold, then by all means buy a replacement.

Under previous regimes much of that is probably true. Under the current regime would you want to sign having spent time with Ehab and Darnbrough?

Probably not.
