Hull City are now in pole position to snatch Alan Hutton from the grasp of Wigan Athletic, according to reports.
The 34-year-old full-back appears to be a wanted man following his release from Aston Villa, with reports at the weekend that Wigan had completed a deal for the defender and he'd even undergone a medical at the club.
However, that deal is now stalling with
City having moved into pole position to sign the defender according
to Football Insider , who say a source close to the player has revealed Hull is now his most likely destination.
Nottingham Forest are also known to be chasing the vastly experienced former Tottenham Hotspur and Rangers defender, who was let go by Villa following their promotion to the Premier League.
