Hopefully Plum if Grant is as good as they say he will have had his eyes on several players who maybe Doncaster couldn’t afford but perhaps City can. For sure we will not be shopping in the millions anymore but I am hoping to see a couple of good young prospects come in permanently and also three good young loans also used well. Would have liked Campbell to stay but I can’t see that happening now. Still we have some experience in the team, a couple of decent centre backs with experience now. Could we unearth the new Ashbee ? That would be great. I think there are things to look forward to this year and I will support the new manager who looks like a good prospect to me.
Thanks Boys for comments. I am going to try and enjoy supporting City again this year. It’s been too easy to let the Allams spoil things. Sorry to see Nige go and I think it must have taken a lot for him to jack it in. However it’s a new guy, a new season and I am hoping for a good positive year.
Hull City are now in pole position to snatch Alan Hutton from the grasp of Wigan Athletic, according to reports. The 34-year-old full-back appears to be a wanted man following his release from Aston Villa, with reports at the weekend that Wigan had completed a deal for the defender and he'd even undergone a medical at the club. However, that deal is now stalling with City having moved into pole position to sign the defender according to Football Insider , who say a source close to the player has revealed Hull is now his most likely destination. Nottingham Forest are also known to be chasing the vastly experienced former Tottenham Hotspur and Rangers defender, who was let go by Villa following their promotion to the Premier League.
I'm surprised at the Hutton link. I'd have thought he'd have wanted a fair bit more than we'd be willing to pay him and if we pay him big money, I'd we pay Campbell.
Think this proves managers arnt involved with transfers. McCann has only been here a few days, no way it's his signing. At best he had the final say on whether we sign him or not but I doubt it.
To be fair Ehab has done well here, shipped 10-15k off wage bill signed a fella with 4 league starts in two seasons on 3 jelly babies a week.
3 year contract as well. Ehab must be have been drunk to sign this contract! Won’t sign a manager on more than a year but will sign a keeper on a 3 year despite playing naff all football.
I know nothing about this fella, but in the four Championship games he played for QPR last season, they lost them all, shipping thirteen goals in the process. Check Rick's Twitter feed, it's full of piss-taking Drama's.
