What's happening with that central midfielder from Liverpool that Terry had at Donny last year - he looks very good and needs a Championship loan period to continue to develop.
We could still have Bowen, Grosicki and Henriksen when out transfer window closes on 8th August, but the European transfer window shuts on 31st August. Grosicki and Henriksen are more likely to appeal to European clubs so we could end up losing them but not being able to buy / loan replacements.
I think he was injured frequently before his clot. Which I agree is very unfortunate. But with such a small squad there’s no room for sentiment or passengers.
By all accounts he was an exciting player with Everton U-23s winning side last season and at 20 he sounds ready to play regularly in the Championship if Bowen or Grosicki move on. Has a great attitude, is durable, and looks like an excellent addition. An exciting prospect in a VERY young side. The future looks bright if/when the Allams move on and we get new owners willing to invest in the team.
Personally, I thought he looked poor anyway and I certainly wouldn't offer him a new deal (we won't anyway).
This is the most infurating thing about Allams at times, we sign both Masuch and McDonald with injury problems most likely on relatively low wages. Hes a though why not combine both wages and buy a durable player for twice the wage of both. Our season is dependant on the big three, if they go. They all will go. Its Ehab.
True, though the numbers I posted were a complete load of bollocks, not sure who I was actually thinking of there.
Been some wonderful one footed players When giggs used his one foot to go past Half the arsenal team and score that goal Who ****ing needs two...
Grosiki is a match winner, when he fancies it, there is no doubt about that and an exciting player when on the ball. But if he could cross and shoot with both feet he wouldn't be playing for us. He wouldn't be playing for any Championship team either, he'd be a top six PL name. His return to form and the team last season kick started our unbeaten run and consequently our glimpse of a Play Off place and of course he will be missed. But at 31 he isn't going to get any quicker and with only a year left on his contract the £4m asking price whilst his stock is still high would be good business.
