Why the .8 why not just go to 40 million and leave it at that.
Probably bought in Euros, and that happens to be the sterling equivalent.
Well it'll be reported as a euros figure at the french end and UK media have converted it.
That's pretty funny.
Only explanation I can think of is he's worried about a second relegation on his CV so wants an established side.
Everton make £40million Gylfi Sigurdsson bid and are confident of completing transfer (Telegraph).
Throwing money about. They've made some decent signings this summer though, it will be interesting to see if they're a little close to the top 4 this year.
