Yeah I think he'd be playing more in the S Davis, Rodriguez, Lallana, Ramirez area than the Cork, Schneiderlin, Wanyama area and an extra option there would be good, especially if Rodriguez is going to be out for a long time.

Agree he is a Lallana RAmirez type player and when saints played at craven cottage was fulhams only player I thought could fit nicely into our squad

Not a rumour, but would love us to sign Kasper Schmeichel on a free to have solid competition between him and Artur for no. 1 spot throughout next year, and fully take over when Artur's contract expires end of season. Doubt he'd come for that, but you never know.

Having just won promotion with Leicester I highly doubt he would leave now.

He is a good player. Is he better than Morgan, Jack, Vic, or are you thinking of replacing Steven Davis? Although Holtby is excellent, we would need to shift on an midfielder before bringing one in. We have other areas that are more critical in my opinion. Centre back, striker, keeper before a midfielder.

Strenght in depth and all that. I agree that position isn't a priority, if we can get him at a low price, why not

Rumours that JWP is going to Liverpool could be true, he has been taking lessons in Scouse from Rickie it would appear.

14 PL assists in the last two seasons would suggest otherwise.

That's not an enormous amount, and it's not a statistic which is particularly indicative of how much work he puts into chance creation. They could all be simple lay-offs.

I'll take those 14 goals amd simple lay=offs thanks. WBA 8th; Everton 4th/5th.... wonder who might benefit next year.

Only five strikers have more assists than him this season. Clearly he's not just a goalscorer.
If he was, I'd take that.

I'd bet it will be Everton again. If they get in the Champions League, they'll spend the majority of their budget on him and sign him permanently for c. £20m. He does seem to genuinely love it there compared to at WBA (or Chelsea for that matter).
