As I stated about 3 days before the story came out (to a general consensus of doubt and anger), the deal is as good as done for Shaw and my source has nothing to do with the club per se.
Can someone please shoot the messenger!

I do have to wonder why he won't name the players who are supposedly leaving. What's the point in being cryptic?

Come on Joey spill the beans. Who does your source work for?
Shaw to United makes sense. He is 18 and has the potential to be one of the best left backs in the world; potential! 25-30m for an 18 year old with very good potential is barmy and I can see the benefit in taking it. He could get injured in the next game. I can't see his value getting any higher with us because we are not likely to get Champions League football anytime soon. Therefore, the older he gets, the more his potential decreases as he is becoming closer and closer to his peek over the years. It is a risk free option for saints.
Selling him(with sell-on clause) and give the money to the manager to buy 3 of 4 new players. Then give him some other transfer budget (Osvaldo money - 7m ??) + 3m, gives another 10m to buy two or three more.
Now my numbers are hypothetical, but it is an astute way of financing 5 or 6 new players that will give us a deeper squad.
I'd be happy.

Look, either name names or don't bother saying this ****.

I'm keeping records of all the "ITK" rumours that I see, starting with his. If he's right, then fair enough. Should make for interesting results come the new season though.
If anyone has any they'd like to make me aware of, I'm happy to add them to the list!
a bit obsessive isn't it?

Are you a teacher, a quality manager, or a lawyer?![]()
All well and good, assuming that we have only £3m to spend without selling, which certainly isn't the case.
Also, if £10m gets you three players, we're not going to be challenging for Europe any time soon!
Did you miss the word "Hypothetical?"....... what about it getting us 2 players (I said 2 or 3). 3 x Michu; 2 x 5m; 1 x 10m + the other money; I was generalizing that if Shaw went for a big fee, it wouldn't be a disaster.
I didn't specify and I didn't infer that we only had 3m to spend..... I was hypothesizing. You really do need to stop taking everything so literally.
I guess signing three Michus for £10m is hypothetical too, if by hypothetical you mean bearing no relationship to reality.
