The agent lied? you just need to carm down. We will get the players we need by the end of the transfer window.
 
All the time stupid clubs are prepared to bung these agents bags of cash then situations like Wayama will keep happening. Just look at the Buttner situation last season...Man U didn't mind paying his Dad £1m did they.
If we are not prepared to get involved in this somewhat dodgy practice, that's fine by me so let's move on

Somehow I doubt his dad wanted as much from them.

Naive to think he would prefer us for footballing reasons. If they offer him enough he will go there. I still see us as in pole position for him though.
 
People please, please, please stop talking about these tabloid reports as if they're factual. If you believe that the Wanyama talks are over then fair enough, but you have to recognise that this comes from an untrustworthy source that is directly conflicting with other sources, and that we can't possibly know for sure.

When we talk about things we've read in the papers on here we are, for all intents and purposes, republishing their stories and so we have a duty to use some journalistic integrity and not mislead people further. We don't know what happened in the Buttner deal, and we don't know what's happened with Wanyama. We can speculate, but that's it. If you read something in a tabloid and then talk about it on here as if it's fact, you are misleading people. There are no two ways about that.

No-one has said we are definitely signing him, but when the Celtic manager says he thinks the deal should get done, I think we're entitled to assume there might be some interest.
 
Was out with a load of Scottish people yesterday at a friends BBQ, started talking about football and they all found it hilarious that anyone would pay £12 mil for Wanyama. Basically said he was good but impossible to judge how good as the SPL is poor and you can only judge him on the CL games, which he may have got really hyped up for as they were 1 off games against massive opposition.
