Just like when they bought Turnbull. And Cudicini. And Hilario.

Well there's nothing wrong with asking the question. Not sure why Forren didn't get 20 minutes at the back end of the season just to prove he is real, but sounds like he is firmly in the first team plans now, if he wasn't then that would have been a good move for 6 months or so.

Cudicini was first choice for several years, we can forgive them for that! But yeah it's much like the other two.

I can understand it from Chelsea's point of view. They need a second choice keeper for (at least) the next 12 months, and they have cash to burn should they want to.

But yes, why Ruddy would want to give up first team PL football in exchange for almost certainly sitting on the bench for 38 PL matches, I'm not quite sure. That wouldn't make a whole lot of sense indeed.

If Ruddy is serious about having an international career, he should probably stay at Norwich and play 30+ games rather than go to Chelsea and be backup to Cech and Courtois when he comes back next season.

We'll see exactly how committed he is to fighting for that spot when he reports for preseason. If he allowed himself to get out of shape over the summer, as he did during the Norwegian break*, it's rather fair to question whether he's serious about the opportunity.

*I am somewhat prepared to give him a pass by virtue of my belief that everyone in Norway spends the winter huddled around a fire, growing a life-preserving layer of blubber.

    Hail Hail

    Celtic Fan here

I don't think Victor Wanyama would suit Southampton, Don't get me wrong Southampton ain't a diddy team Southampton for me have always been a Premiership team maybe Southampton would be a correct team for the likes of Beram Kayal or James Forrest but I don't think Victor Wanyama would cut it at St. Mary's, sorry but I don't.

I assume you're trying to say he is too good for us, but you also say he won't cut it?

Basically, doesn't think Wanyama would fit but gives no reason, then picks two other Celtic players and says they would.... and gives no reason.

Most of it. Not where I am, which seems to have decided that it was bored of being boreal forest, and would like to spend a millenia or two being a tropical jungle instead; building up the protective layer of blubber would mean for a hell of a shock when it randomly transitions from Arctic conditions to 25 degrees with 100% humidity in the span of a week.

Why are Celtic fans continually giving out warnings about iced rain?
