FC Twente's out of contract CB Douglas, (who I think we have been linked to in the past, along with Spurs, Newcastle and Liverpool) has signed for Kuban Krasnodar

Not that much of a shock really. The Russian league is growing in stature all the time and they probably offered him far more money than any of the more well known clubs would have.

Russia will be crazy if the new joint league with Ukraine comes in, will completely **** FPP up :D

Good player, but like many other players from that part of the world. They can only play in the slower European leagues such as Italy and Spain. He would get smashed to bits in the Premier League. Would love to see him try some of his skills at Stoke away. Huth and Co would just destroy him.

You have obviously never seen him play.

Strong for his size and as talented as any one ever.

Would be surprised if he would sign for the sort of money we offer, given that he sat out the entirety of this year rather than take a wage cut.

Corriere dello Sport are reporting that Sants have made an €18m bid for Radja Nainggolan: http://www.corrieredellosport.it/ca.../Cagliari:+Nainggolan+chiesto+dal+Southampton

TRANSLATION:

CAGLIARI - What are the valuable pieces of Cagliari? Nainggolan, Astori, Sau, Ibarbo, Agazzi. Currently on the table of the president Cellino has arrived only the desire to snatch the Belgian Nainggolan the Sardinian team. From England, Germany and Spain arrive offers far more economically attractive than those circulated in Italy. This does not mean that Inter are out of the competition for the Belgian. The latest proposal (Southampton) was worth 18 million: impossible any attempt to the downside.
