Probably only to me! It's just that if I support my local team I would ideally like to see a splattering of local players in there. Failing that, to see players we have nurtured from a young age. Failing that, the 'local' bit goes to a national level.

I can watch and appreciate Italian and Spanish football on Sky TV. I'd rather not turn into a Chelski or Man city and watch it on my home turf week in week out.

Never heard of a 'splattering' as a collective term for players before. Maybe the Brighton play-off team?

Not sure I particularly fancy a non-European league-tested South American player - given that they seem to take a season to bed in. Would prefer someone likely to hit the ground running. Players like Beausejour were class for Chile in the World Cup, and swill around with relegation fodder when here, and he didn't even hold down a regular place for Wigan. And Paraguay were decent that tournament too, and I don't particularly rate Alcaraz over here, though Martinez clearly does - and knows more about these things than me, granted!

I know what you're saying, but at £2.5m it's not a major outlay and gives us the luxury (with Lovren, Jose, Jos still here) of bedding him in.

Speaking of Jose, whatever happened to "Puncheon is signing for Crystal Palace this week and Fonte off too....."

Did someone actually say either of them were joining Palace? I mentioned them because I thought it sounded realistic, but I haven't heard any actual rumours of it.

I thought Moyes wasn't going to sign any Everton players. If that's not true, then why is Fellaini not holding up a Man U shirt yet.
 
Sky sports news reporting that rosenior ( a hull player) has joined hull on a two year contract. Kind of amateurish.
