Billy Sharp has just tweeted:
"Just for the record I haven't had no medical at reading."

Edit: My bad, didn't realise someone had already posted this

I'd pretty happily take Stoch, I believe the restrictions on foreign players in the Turkish league are getting tighter too and Fernebahce need to offload a few, so that may give us the upper hand in negotiations (To go with the upper hand we always have - Nicola) and get us a good deal. I'd personally consider Lovren, Wanyama (please please please) and Stoch a job well done in this transfer window.

Still would need a new striker for me.

I think we need ideally, 2 new full backs, although have a feeling fox will remain as the cover for Shaw, we def need another striker, unless he sees something in sharp, I feel though, where we want to go, Sharp isnt up to the task.
Another central midfielder and winger, that will give us cover all over the park in outfield positions.

ah hopefully he can push on and compete with clyne next season.
We are blessed with first choice players there, future england full backs for sure.

Chambers, Cork, Lovren and in that scenario Wanyama would be sufficient cover I feel, certainly would be happy for us to sign another young full-back but if we didn't I wouldn't be that bothered.

Indeed, this is the popular opinion and I understand it but personally, like with the right-back situation, I wouldn't mind us getting another but am fine as we are really. Still happy for Rickie to be the main man for 85% of our games with Rodriguez starting to be babyfed into become his successor. Then season after it starts to become more of a jobshare between Lambert and Jay. And unlike a lot of people I haven't given up with Mayuka yet and would be fine with him being third choice and getting more opportunities. I don't wholly disagree with people who feel a new striker is a priority but personally I'm happy as is, 3 strikers for a one-striker system is good enough for me. I'm a real believer in keeping the core chemistry of the team the same and letting our young players develop together with a few key signings and academy promotions rather than squad overhauls, so 3 key first team players would do me just fine.

Can't disagree, although I feel our game is slowly bypassing Rickie, our game is all about pace and Jay Rod fits the bill perfectly, Rickie obviously still has a major roll but I think we will see less and less of him as time goes on. We are so dynamic and exciting going forwards I can see a deeper roll for rickie aka Teddy Sheringham, both clever players with the pace all up in front of him. I think Jay Rod will be first choice striker next season.

Very exciting though picking a forward line from, Jay Rod, Lambo, Punch, Lallana, Gaston, Mayuka with a very likely 1 more at least........

If we have got 20 million Euros to buy a striker I'd rather we made a move for Soldado or Negredo. A cheaper option would be Alfreo Finnbogason from Heerenveen, I know buying strikers from the Dutch is a bit of a risk but there is something about him, quality finisher.
