"Twitter reports" is extremely vague. It can range from a 14 year old Saints fan in his bedroom dreaming, to a respected journalist with good contacts. Which is it?
Great signing for any Championship team, if we aren't going to play him then an extra £1.2M in the coffers and him off the wage bill sounds good to me.
Hopefully the former based on the €20m part. 16 goals in 28 league matches for Roma last seasons though.

Sorry hadn't gone back to the previous year. Maybe a better question would have been does anyone know why after such a good season he only managed 14 apps and 0 goals last year, injury etc.?

27 in 55 games last season previos season, 20 in 44 games season before playing for espanyol and 3 goals in 8 full italy caps.... not bad, the espanyol link is interesting.
I think we'd miss fonte if he went. He's been a good servant for us and 95% of the time has been very solid and having not yet even seen a glimpse of forren the management must be pretty confident on him if they are willing to let Jose go.
