These are all good points and I'd love to have players of that quality here. We'd dominate possession in most games with that midfield. Cork would then provide cover/competition at right back, where he fills in so comfortably. Still feel that a winger/striker is definitely needed so hope that any outlay on central midfielders is matched in these positions.

We're talking about them as if they are done deals...I can't help feel we're going to be very disappointed!

Spot on. Last season we were lucky we didn't get more injuries - when you looked at our bench and squad we didn't really have enough strength in depth. I'd like to think with more competition, the likes of Cork would try and raise their game

On line rumours that Billy is off to Reading for £1.2M. Good signing for Nigel if true although a bit similar to Le Fondre.

The Wanyama rumours have spread around the net like wild fire. If we actually got him, it would be one of the biggest statements of intent the club could possible make.

Would be a fantastic signing, signing a player under the nose of top clubs does show ambition to other players and also means we are more likely to be pushing for Europe than battling relegation.
 
Apologies if already mentioned, but some twitter reports suggesting we are ready to offer €20m for osvaldo. Who currently plays for Roma.
