If the intent of the tackle was to injure someone then no. But how often does that happen?
There are challenges that are mistimed or are a tad too high because of momentum, or a wet pitch etc that result in injuries, but they result from a tackle.
When you play football you must accept that you will be tackled, and that there is a chance you could receive an injury from said tackles (however small). You dont really expect to be bitten during a game!

total bollox mate, ask any pro which they would prefer, to get smashed in the leg by dangerous play or the nibble.

Intent, means nothing to those who've been smashed, ask the player McManaman smashed in the knee, he was well pissed off even though the intent was not there, yours is a viewpoint of a person who's never been on the end of a bad tackle, I've suffered a few and would in hindsight have preferred a nibble any day

Not condoning Suarez, and if I was Ivanovic I would feel the same, but to try and say depending, a dangerous tackle is less of an offence is a comical farce of a defence of one's viewpoint

You seem to keep missing the point, its not your opinion of the bans I am disputing.
Its **** like "Wrestle with a ballboy". Seriously mate? Wrestle?

I wont post quotes, because frankly i cannot be arsed, and you know what you said, but you tried to demonize Hazard and cast him in this worst possible light and your comments now people have done the same to Suarez? #getoverit

How about #stopputtinghashtagsoneverythingandtalklikeahumanbeingandstopbeingoverlydefensiveofaplayerwhocommittedanoffencethatwasworsethananoffenceyoucondemnedanotherplayerforpurelybecauseheplaysforanotherteam................ dot com, or something.

Fine, not "wrestle" let's try "physical altercation". Hazard was a moron for what he did and in the wrong so there's no need to take words in their most extreme possible interpretation just to try to make a fight of it.

How about #IcalledforalargerbanforSuarezthanforHazardandyouacceptedthatsostopchattingshitmate

I'm not outraged at all.. thankfully he doesnt play for my team.

I think he is a vile twat as you're all becoming more and more aware. I actually feel a bit sorry for you all as its a tricky situation. I can see things from Billy's positon of how it took the gloss of the memorial aspect of the day. I can also see it from ddddddddddddddddddddddddd's point of view of wanting to keep him.

its just one of those **** storms that you'd rather not have sullying the name of your club. As thats all its done is drag your clubs name through the mud.

So in summary I couldnt give a ****. I'm not suprised by anything suarez does. in fact im more shocked its taken him this long to bite someone. Next up we will find out he is responsible for stealing dogs you keep seeing notices of on facebook..

He is certainly a twat... wouldnt go as far as to say he is vile one. <ok>

Dont single me out for saying nothing any different to what your own fans have said. . the guy is a liability to your club.

I'd be in a serious conundrum if he were a player for my team as he is a superb player but he is also a massive **** and an embarrassment to the name of your club. As much as i dislike Liverpool Fc I respect the club, I also have no problem with its fans, its just unfortunate that they have idiots like yourself and donga who seem to think because we support different teams we cant provide a well balanced view on a subject just becuase you cant.

A confused individual.

Late to the party again..
Can't and won't defend the lad..
He's got fined from LFC
He'll get a ban from the FA, we'll most likely say our ban will run alongside the FAs Ban
Publicly said we want to keep him/help him but that's only to keep is diminishing value high, I reckon if a decent cash offer or cash+player offer comes in for him, he'll be gone.
Shame, as a players he is great/world class.
Off the pitch, in private, he's meant to be salt of the earth.
But for a minute or 2 out of every 300 or so minutes on the pitch he does something daft/stupid/scandalous!

I think thats the most frustrating thing about Suarez. Off the pitch he is apprently a really nice guy. Seems to be a good family man and loving father. As far as I know he has no history of off field bad behaviour like having affairs or bar room brawls. However it seems as soon as he set foot on the pitch his animal instincts kick in. Sometimes it good to a little bit of a passion on the pitch but obvisouly biting people is taking things much too far

Ask any pro what they'd do if an opponent bit them & I'd wager that the vast majority would say they'd smash them in the grid.

Biting has no part in the game that's the difference you apologist moron.

Of course it is, what is being debated now pretty much is why this is such an EVIL thing, why has much worse play gone unpunished and unprinted?

I've heard Duncan Ferguson hailed for his sometimes GBH. I heard fans hail Huth for stamping on Suarez

Where was the mass outcry then?

You've just answered your own question.

We are not talking reaction, and it goes down to the individual, I imagine most would say, what the **** just happened, Ivanovic didn't quite believe it was happening and no one is defending Suarez
If you are saying in hindsight players would prefer to be taken out good and proper? is that what you are saying? keep in mind he didn't take a lump out of ivan ala Tyson, can you answer without avoiding questions you don't want to answer?

So did the PM just release a statement on it? Really? Can't be bothered with I don't know, making sure North Korea doesn't blow us all up?

That seems a bit far that.

2 North Koreas <yikes> even if there were they still would not have enough to blow us all us, your lot do though:)

So the fact that any sane human being would rather suffer a bite mark than a broken leg, is your defence?

If I suffered a broken leg from a poorly timed challenge I'd forgive the opponent. If I was bitten by some ****house on the pitch, I'd want to smash his grid in & would think he was a ****ing lunatic.

Society is messed up.

We rather berate a man for petulant and juvenile acts on a football pitch, but continue to idolise a player like Giggs who cheats on his wife with his brothers' Mrs, because he's a gent on the pitch.

I know we do but that is a whole other thing.

If the Pm really is coming out with comments on Suarez I can see him just wanting out anyway in the summer now. Yu know his agen is already on the ball with it. Time out of your day dealing with Economy, world politics, etc to talk about Suarez? Strange one that.

It just proves the point that the media have completely blown this our of proportion.

<laugh> 6 or more BBC articles on this fiasco.

Thats because its not a normal thing that happens on a football pitch, Suarez hits new low was bound to happen and will hit new lows in the future because the guy wont change, I mean headbutting a ref at 15 yo and 11 years later still hitting the headlines for the wrong reasons. <yikes>

Liverpool fans will continue to idolise Suarez, so that's hypocritical for a start.

Secondly, non United fans respect him as a professional footballer, not as a man, in the main.
