If the intent of the tackle was to injure someone then no. But how often does that happen?
There are challenges that are mistimed or are a tad too high because of momentum, or a wet pitch etc that result in injuries, but they result from a tackle.
When you play football you must accept that you will be tackled, and that there is a chance you could receive an injury from said tackles (however small). You dont really expect to be bitten during a game!

Intent, means nothing to those who've been smashed, ask the player McManaman smashed in the knee, he was well pissed off even though the intent was not there, yours is a viewpoint of a person who's never been on the end of a bad tackle, I've suffered a few and would in hindsight have preferred a nibble any day

Not condoning Suarez, and if I was Ivanovic I would feel the same, but to try and say depending, a dangerous tackle is less of an offence is a comical farce of a defence of one's viewpoint

As far as I know he has no history of off field bad behaviour like having affairs or bar room brawls. However it seems as soon as he set foot on the pitch his animal instincts kick in. Sometimes it good to a little bit of a passion on the pitch but obvisouly biting people is taking things much too far
