Agree with that, though I think Suarez was just being clumsy in his tweet (the English was poor) rather than trying to make PR of it.

You think he typed that himself mate? Ok.

It's orchestrated PR & she's upset with the club for using the campaign & describes it as 'cynical'

What ever the FA plan on doing I hope they do it soon. What ever the ban is going to be I want to get it started as soon as possible ao Luis does not miss many games for start of next season. Assuming he is still playing for us of course

No chance. It will get dragged out for the next five or six weeks so it effects next season.

The FA has (as expected) charged Liverpool striker Luis Suarez with violent conduct.

A statement on their website reads as follows:

"The FA has charged Liverpool forward Luis Suarez with violent conduct.

"The charge follows an incident with Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic in yesterday’s fixture at Anfield [21 April 2013].

"The incident was not seen by the match officials and has therefore been retrospectively reviewed

"It is alleged that the conduct of Suarez constitutes violent conduct and it is The FA’s contention that the standard punishment of three matches that would otherwise apply is clearly insufficient in these circumstances.

"Suarez has until 6pm on Tuesday 23 April to respond to the charge, thereafter an Independent Regulatory Commission will be convened this Wednesday, 24 April."

I obviously agree that he should be banned for more than three games but yet again we see the FA changing their own rules to suit <doh>

Since there are almost 750 comments on this thread I am sure someone will have said this already but...thank **** he bit a white player <whistle>

or does he not bite black players beca......... oh **** it, always lose out anyway!!!!

So how long do you think a fair ban will be? Personally think a 4-8 game would make enough of a point.

I think he should plead insanity. He'll get away with it then for sure.

Just said this on the Chelsea board:

I said he should get ten games. However, I can't make my mind up whether the FA will bottle it or make an example of Suarez. I would predict five games for the former and ten for the latter.

Edit: Barton got twelve games for three potential red card offences in the space of thirty seconds!

3-4 games, considering Ivanovic wasn't even hurt by him. If he'd have actually taken a chunk out of him then I think we'd be talking about a 6 monthly, yearly or even life ban. But no harm was done so I don't think the ban should be very long.

Can I take a bite out of your avatar?

I ain't no fan of Liverpool.
I'm a Palace fan and was at Anfield as a youngster when we got beat 9-0.
This lark with Suarez is turning into a witch hunt now though.
What Callum McManaman did was far worse but I don't think he was even carded....correct me if I'm wrong. Which I rarely am.
He is a total ****ing nutter but a great player.
Suarez, not McManaman that is.
