My point is that I barely remember the above incident happening and yet it looks pretty similar. IF another player had done this today, it wouldn't have generated the furore it has. Suarez should be punished, but the FA should be level headed and take above situations into account

Much higher profile game, as it's Sky's flagship show and not a 3pm Saturday game, and a far more controversial player.
The ref dished out a card to both Mascherano and Defoe, so the FA couldn't get involved. Defoe didn't go on to score the winner, either.

This incident has actually increased our popularity <whistle>

The Funny thing about this is all these opposition football fans trying to say how bad Luis is when there there own club players have ALL done something equally as bad on a moral level at some point

You are ALL HYPOCRITES

There are no morals in football, he is a footballer and a very good one, you dont sell your best players, as Everton didnt sell Ferguson,United didnt sell Giggs,Cantona, Chelsea didnt sell Terry etc. There isnt a club in the PL that hasnt done something morally wrong

Like **** it was, but keep clinging to that, as it'll give you your justification for whining like a bitch about poor old Luis's treatment by the FA when they ban the hideous twat for 2 months <ok>

Nearly as hideous as Drunken Duncan, scumbag, you carry on singin " Always the Victims" vermin

But ALL of those players received a media backlash after their respective incidents too. Come on, I want Liverpool to be as successful just as much as you do but you've got to take the blinkers off now, take off the tinfoil hat and accept that what Suarez did today was abhorrent. He should be punished however the FA and club see fit, that's all there is to say now. Stop comparing it to other events in an attempt to justify it.

6D I actually find our fans to be bigger hypocrites at the moment I have to be frank, and I am not being specific to this forum, also forums elsewhere online. Everyone knows what Suarez is and has done before and that is no worse than what he has done today. The irony is that if he were squeeky clean then we wouldn;t have had a chance in hell of signing him or keeping hold of him. God knows why today's incedent should represent the "last straw" for so many, it hardly warrants a player of such quality being thrown out of the club. The fact is without Suarez we would be mid-table, and that, for me, is 10x more embarrassing than today's incedent

Those seeking the morale high ground can shut the **** up next season if Suarez is sold and we finish mid-table. We are a ****e team and Suarez is the only thing keeping us afloat

I voted to stay neutral but to sell Suarez in the Summer'

None of us actually KNOW if Suarez did bite Ivanovic. Only the 2 of them KNOW the truth. As far as I am aware Ivanovic has not made an official complaint. Both managers and the Ref have said that they didn't see the incident. Therefore, what are the FA going to investigate?

I'm not going to defend him. Even if he simulated a bite, it was a very very silly thing to do. After his experience at Ajax and the Evra thng he must know the kind of reaction that any act like this was going to have. However, I'm not going to join the witch-hunt.

LFC now find themselves in a very difficult position. They can not afford to do or say anything that may jeopardise their position. However they must decide if it is the best interests of the club to keep him.

You can see it Dave. The intent is certaintly there. The difference whether he sunk his teeth in is irrelevant.

That is sadly true mate.

I think many don't WANT Suarez gone, just EXPECT him to be gone. Football isn't just about football anymore, Liverpool isn't the boot room anymore, it is a business owned by corporate men. If Henry deems this to be the PR disaster it is likely to be, he may make the decision that if it hurts his asset's reputation or bottom line to get rid of Suarez. He doesn't give a **** if Liverpool are 7th or 15th. While success on the field can lead to success off the field, FSG main concern is profit. The best thing going for Suarez atm is that he sells shirts.

Luiz 'Cannibal' Suarez

Sell him ASAP - gone too far this time. Pep's brother is Suarez's agent....I predict he'll go to Bayern Munich for 40mil (ish)

Bayern won't go near him. Doesn't have the mentality to play for a club like Bayern Munchen. They have to much class to sign a player of Suarez' history.
