IF he stays, we still need to do a hell of a lot more to contend with the top 4 anyway. Sort our defence out, strengthen our midfield... and become more consistent.

If he goes then it will be a lot harder, we need to do the aforementioned. And find someone else who can score 20 plus a season. Highly unlikely imo. Think it's unlikely even with Suarez anyway, we are nowhere near good enough as a team.

Don't know how I can be more frank that i condemn his actions today, and he deserves the coming punishment he'll receive. Possibly played his last game for Liverpool, given that he'll miss the end of the season now. And don't pretend that for all your faux indignation that the first thought that crossed you mind wasn't that he'll now miss the derby. Yes, I do think it was a ****ing conspiracy that he got 8 games for the Evra business, based upon precedent and the evidence of what he he actually did. The FA wanted a head-on-a-stick because they couldn't get at Terry at the time, otherwise Suarez should have got a 3/4 game ban for using totally innappropriate language (even though his provoker should have too). But that's by the by.

In this case there is no outside chicanery going on, apart from the FA's obvious and historic bias against Liverpool. but you are right that whatever punisment he gets I, and many, many others will read the FA report from cover-to-cover: firstly because they are inherently untrustworthy, and secondly because the game of finding the contradictions and inconsistencies is even easier than doing the Sudoko in the Mirror.

The fact is that fans of Everton, Man Utd etc are only bothered about Suarez because he is so good. If this was Joe Allen or Jay Spearing they wouldn't give a **** about it.

They are trying to get us Liverpool fans to turn on him so that the club are forced to sell him. This bullshit people are talking about wanting Liverpool to get rid of him because he's a stain on English football etc is absolute rubbish. The fans of the very clubs that are condemning Suarez and urging Liverpool to get rid of him are the very same fans that tolerated the questionable behaviour of their players, past & present.

And these people will claim, when questioned, that they were in fact urging their club to get rid of X player at the time, but we know that's not true at all. For example, if you put to a Man Utd fan that they didn't want rid of Cantona despite him kicking a supporter, they will claim they were disgusted by Cantona's actions and wanted the club to get rid of him, but if they DID want rid of him, why did he get a hero's reception in his comeback game? Its easy for people to claim in hindsight that they did want rid of X player, just so they can strengthen their argument now but we all know that no football fan would want a club to get rid of their star player if he's doing the business on the pitch, regardless of his misdemeanors on & off the pitch.

As for Suarez, he will likely miss the rest of the season with a ban but anything over a 4 match ban and questions will have to be asked of the FA, especially in light of the fact they recently failed to punish McManaman for something that was much more dangerous than Suarez's bite. Who knows, he might get away with it like McManaman, and the FA will only have themselves to blame if he does, and that will surely mean the FA having to review the process of retrospective action, as it would be clear the current system isn't working?

Ahhh! The old "real" fan argument. **** can't argue with that one....except.....he spends your "thousands" in one week.

The million "armchair" fans who paid their subscription stumped up the money (millions not thousands) to buy him. Without us, you'd never have seen him in the strip in the first place so don't come out with that "better fan" ****e. You want that? I think Suarez is a vile ****e.

I can understand the likes of DDDDDDDDDD wanting him to remain playing for you as rightly he is your best player by a country mile and you'd be unlikely to find a decent or even half decent player without European football next season.

But I think the club is bigger than any player, he drags your club through the gutter week in week out with his constant cheating and other antics, he is an embarrassment to your once great club.

I don't think he will ever change as a player and if it were my team I'd want my team making headlines for the right reasons not for the reasons you seem too most weeks..

As to comparing it to cantona, he was banned for months not games and I for one thought the fan got what he deserved. Keane was a nutter but it was hangelands other leg that ended his career..
