That's not true, often I chat with them and praise their players and say nice things to them yet some still hurl abuse at me and call me a bindipper etc etc....In fact isn't that a form of racism?

Well you touched on it earlier, how do you define race, so the UN and in this country the EHRC include race, colour, descent,national and ethnic origin as reasons which it is illegal (and some would say immoral) to discriminate upon.
