Are gyspys a race, or a country. He looks like a ****ing gyspy, lets me honest. I bet the people around him were laughing at the joke.

This is an awful convo, the people defending suarez should think about how deluded they are being. Goodnight.

short answer ... in britain yes <ok>
Irish Travellers are recognised in British law as an ethnic group.

What has Suarez done in the past that has been so bad?

All I can think of is the World Cup handball and I think he did the right thing in that situation.

Biting a player on the neck and his general antics on the field. He's hardly a model professional but I'm ****ing glad he's a Liverpool player <ok>

Exactly. And if he was playing for their club they would love him.

Shows exactly how fickle football is.
Not all fans. I think Evra's a **** and he's been one of our best players over the past few years. And Rooney and Giggs are both knobheads. I'm happy they're playing for us, but as people they can **** right off.

Swarbs just to clear something up - I didn't mean love him as a person, purely meant it in footballing terms <ok>

So basically I completely agree with your reply.

If Suarez isn't found guilty then surely the book should be thrown at Evra. 4 match ban, public apology and a hefty fine for Evra would suffice IMO.

That should be the minimum IMO for whoever proves to be guilty <ok>

Not being found guilty doesn't mean it didn't happen. If the downside for being unsuccessful in reporting offences is punishment, then who would bother to report anything?

Evra is clearly confident that it will be picked up otherwise he wouldn't of said that the same word was said 10 times. Today's technology will 100% give us the right findings.

I wouldn't be so sure. I think at best for Evra the footage will be inconclusive. There'll be no smoking gun in my opinion. But who knows.

But if there's no consequences for saying people have abused you racially then everyone would do it to someone they simply don't like. Suarez' reputation will now be damaged by these accusations, its like the women who accused Van Persie and Klasnic of raping them, they clearly didn't do it but now the rapist thing has pretty much stuck with both of them. Evra has said Suarez called him a ****** TEN TIMES in a match, the whole, or most, of the incident took place inside the box while there was a corner, if no one but Evra has heard Suarez say ****** TEN TIMES, then surely he is lying.

It happened by the goalmouth in 'the biggest match in world football' with hundreds of mics and cameras everywhere - So the truth WILL come out.

It sounds like Utd fans are already making excuses if Evra is found to be bullshitting. Personally I wont be making any excuses for Suarez if found guilty, he deserves the maximum punishment available.

And I certainly wont be buying my little one the Suarez kit he wants for Christmas - even if my son was white I wouldn't buy it for him, the fact he's mixed race means there is no way he will wear a racists name on his shirt (but I will wait for the FA to come to their decision before I decide for myself, like most people seem to have already done!).

Yeah because you always hear what footballers are saying, even when they decide to whisper obscenities to each other. Its not like the crowd can possibly drown out a sly underhand racial slur now is it.

As for the cameras, you cant even bloody tell half the time whether a foul was commited or a goal crossed the line with replays. How your so confident an off the ball incident in a crowded box will be conclusively proven/disproven depending on whether accurate footage exists is silly.

For me, I have no doubts Suarez did racially abuse Evra . The guy is nasty piece of work (Re: Biting) and an all round dick (Epitomized for me by the patronizing hand on Evras head) and I suspect the cameras will show enough for everyone (not a liverpool supporter at least) to know he's guilty but not be 100% cast iron, airtight, conclusive and he'll weasel outta punishment.

Sky you are wrong. At least on my part and a few others I have seen on here.

If evra is proved to be lying I hope he is made an example of. Its a big accusation and its possible suarez could be banned for life so if evra is lying and its proved I expect a big punishment for him.

However if suarez is found guilty then I expect the same for him as it is not on.

if Suarez is cleared for lack of evidence then it doesnt mean evra lied. i hope Liverpool fans realise this as it seems from testimony from other black players that making the accusation is hard as its very difficult to prove.

He won't be banned for life. A long time maybe, but not life.

LMAO, IF he did racially abuse evra then im pretty sure evra would have pointed this out to at least a team mate if not a match official during the game, yes suarez bit someone, in what way does that make him a racist? none whatsoever, how the **** can you say you have no doubts you silly ****, what evidence do you have but a statement from the boy who cried wolf?

Sorry I should of said from England. i dont mean for life from everywhere.

I really think that the FA will see this as a chance to make their mark about racism 'IF' its proven suarez did what is claimed.

Look pal, I have shown many times how evra has never lied about this before. hes made claims that in 1 case were incorrect. He was abused but it wasnt racial. More based around his nationality. The finnan case wasnt evra making the accusation. It was 2 deaf fans who made the allegations. Evra didnt say anything. The case of when he was 10 years old in Senegal is impossible to prove either way. In my opinion evra is telling the truth, think about it, you are young, potentially on the verge of making it big and you small local community is a bit miffed off and give you some stick for choosing david ( france ) over Goliath (Senegal ) so its not beyond the realms of possibility is it. Plus what does he have top gain by lying? Nothing.

So when you consider evras character just remember that while you may think hes an all round ****, which he probably is from a non united fan perspective, just take into consideration that hes not a liar.

But it would then mean that every case has to be treated the same way. You can't just 'make an example' of someone. Everyone has to be that example.

I'm not being insensitive to the issue, but a lifetime suspension from English football would be hugely out of proportion to the offence. Athletes have won gold medals, been found to have taken drugs, and received only a 2 year ban for it. They've won something by cheating, and all that training done by the other athletes is undermined. Nobody wants to win a gold having crossed the line second.

I this instance, the only guy affected is Evra. The ban should be proportionate.
